screen tearing on a 360

You know, the same kind of thing as, on a pc, when v-sync is disabled in a game, part of the picture doesn't refresh, so part of the picture doesn't update as quickly as the rest. Happens on a couple of missions. Could it be because on the first few days, I played long enough to start growing a beard?
