I try to do missions during the day because so often you can't see anything at night. I turned the brightness up on my set and ehh.. just washes out the colors. Works great for the cars with headlights where the contrast makes the game look incredible, but the downside seems to be playing on foot at night or when you walk into dark alley's (they're not supposed to be thaat dark) one of those FPS features that doesn't seem to carry over perfectly into GTA.

I agree 100%. Odd as it sounds sometimes i can not see where doors are cause of lighting. Sounds odd but we need a solution.

I have the ps3 version and I can also say I'm having this issue. The darker colours need to be brightened up a tad. Even in bright daylight if niko is wearing a black coat, it looks pitch black. It's like the contrast has been hit waay up and there's nothing I can do about it. Tweaking display options just makes the whole game darker/brighter and by the time it's bright enough to see the dark details, the lighter parts are totally washed out. Light bloom is a bit overdone imo.

Ps3's are more likley to give this effect, they give very strange contrast at times. probably your TV though, LCD's show a lot of grey shades as black...this is the massive downside over plasma.

This is my only problem with GTA. (exept the gloves) Turn up the brighness in the display options.

Fix your eyes, it's not the game, and again stop even mentioning the damn gloves, go buy some in real life and make love to them. The only action you get.

Random you must have bloody 21/21 vision to see in the darkest areas. Really its the game.

I have the same problem as well.

It sucks especially when the mission requires you to kill a bunch of people inside a dark building. I can't see sh*t.
