Fill me in, guys. What's the various options? I've mucked around a little, seems like fun, but am having trouble working out the options.

 

Free mode? Can I select one, or do I just join one at random?

 

Deathmatches? How do I join one?

 

Fill me in please.

Um....to join a death match, go to the multiplayer option in your phone, and follow it from there. It's not that complicated. Or am I missing something?

 

Free roam is sh*te. Don't bother with it.

 

Other modes like "Bomb da Base" and "Cops and Crooks" are basically team games which can be great fun.

 

Best way to find out is to try each one for yourself. Don't worry about being new to it all. People tend not to care how good or bad the other people are.

 

One bit of advice though. Don't leave a game prematurely. People don't like that. It's bad etiquette, and it messes up other peoples earnings.

I've tried selecting a deathmatch (I'm not that stupid, LOL), but I can't actually seem to get it to JOIN.

 

I get to the point where I select the game, and then I can't seem to proceed.

Sorry, I just misunderstood.

 

Well have you gotten to the lobby stage? You part where you see the list of people ready to play? You need to press (PS3) to confirm that you're ready, but it's usually better to hold off until more people join.

 

Anyway, when the minimum number of people are ready, a 10 second countdown will commence, and then it's game on.

 

Just remember, you can't pause an online game I still try doing that to this day. Bad habit.
