xNikolaiBellicx
There might be some games that can be GTA but they still lack one thing, originality since GTA was the first and the godfather of all Crime themed sand box game.
g3treal
In my opinion GTA IV had quite a bit of 'inspiration' from Saint's Row, True Crime NYC and Scarface. Saint's Row wasn't the best game ever but certainly built upon and demonstrated great graphics and gameplay on a 3rd gen platform. Scarface/True Crime NYC (though incomplete IMO) did the same for 2nd Gen. consoles. That being said, GTA IV only sets the standard for the devs of the sequel for Saint's Row and others to compete. Will we see the "best game ever" with any of those??? That question may only ever be answered by the beholder, but after seeing how much inspiration Saint's Row, Bond, Scarface and the True Crime series have had on the current GTA series I can only imagine we will have a few very interesting games coming forth before the next of the GTA Series. Leaving my answer simple for now. We'll comment more as we see some what those games have up their sleeves.
