iLusion Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Recently while i have been going around the forums i click on a topic. the page loads then a pop up appears right in the middle of the screen. Its telling me that i could win a mac book air. and my Firefox doesn't block it. Does anyone else get this? SWEETSAPRIK Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Between adblock and noscript I didn't get anything, but I will say that unlike other topics on GTAF, that one had noscript give me a message saying that it blocked script from burstnet. A long time ago I remember seeing a popup from burstnet, is that something I should be seeing? Is burstnet something I should unblock? I mean I searched though my adblock filter forever to remove the lines that block the google pageads. Well for a start I don't believe that happened, S&D always finds something, but whatever. Just after I read this topic I got a blocked pop-up from 'Burst', so there is something happening, someone pointed out a topic called 'Sexual Experiences' and I clicked on the 'Masturbation' topic in Gen Chat and they both seem to have a common theme. So GTAF is getting taken over by Porn sites. On Virus's, I've never had an internet based virus in all my years of using computers (and most of that has been using IE), only had a form virus, which is like a p*ss in the ocean by Virus standards and that was from a batch of 3 1/2" Floppy Disks (remember them kiddies) I bought. As long as you've got a good firewall and don't go browsing dodgy Russian websites you should be fine, although that's not to say you shouldn't have Anti-Virus and Spyware programs on your machine Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
