GETALIF3 Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) hey everyone, i see that no one has actually started anything like this yet, i think, and so i have been building a website taking in all of your ideas from another post on this forum. It will not be ready till the end of the week which is friday 23rd may. That is when i'll be delivering the link to website. my email is on the site so if anyone has started please let me know I believe any site should be made by the end of the month because most people are probably trying to complete the single player first. its basically a money system where gangs can buy stuff. also gangs as well as players will be rated. This will be done by seeing the scorecard at the end of each match which tells us which player killed how many and how many he/she died. Also it would be wise if everyone gets their clans sorted so that we can be up and running asap. http://web.mac.com/ttariq/ this is the page. There is still much work to do. The only problem is that i need coders for the website to become automated. GETALIF3 Posted May 19, 2008 Author Share Posted May 19, 2008 basically gangs will start off with about $100,000. each gang can buy vehicles, buildings (which are in their own territory and headquarters for their gangs. Whatever they buy is just for show on their gang page and have the official rights to brag about for example they own the getalife building. Or they own the empire state building. this is same for vehicles, players can say they own a banshee or a huntley. buildings purchased by gangs will be headquarters and each player can also purchase houses/flats as their home. However, if they lose that territory they will lose the properties but if the new territory owners want the buildings they can purchase them off you for half the price. otherwise they go back on to the market. Gnags can also rent players for about $50,000 if they do not have a lot of players and will pay bonuses to that player for each kill they get. However, the rented player pays the same bonus back depending on how many times hey died. I will think about adding the weapons to the shop but it can get a bit confusing as you won't be using anything purchased on this website in game. Losing a gang war means u lose $10,000 but if u win u get $10,000. Players earn their own money by the amount of people they killed and how many times they died. e.g. if u killed 50 people but died 20 times u would get $1000 times by 50 = $50,000 minus 20 times by $1000. so thats $30,000 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If gang 1 wanted land 2 which belonged to gang 2 then gang 1 would have to fight gang 2. Gang 2 would have 48 hours to respond to the challenge by either giving it up or agreeing to fight within another 24hours. Gang 2 would have to respond because if they do not then their territory would be given up. Also if gang 2 has already defended a challenge, it does not have to defend another challenge for another 2 days but they can if they wish. also i need some help with the website with regards to having a user login system. GETALIF3 Posted May 19, 2008 Author Share Posted May 19, 2008 Yh if you are not on for 2 days u culd lose ur territory but this is so that everyone has a chance at getting territory. if people think the time is too short we culd extend it to 3 days. also what are the advantages of having turf, could you say for instance join a freeroam game when no one is fighting each other and just chill and such? well you could chill anyway in freeroam whether or not you own territory on this site. but if many people recognize our site then you could go into free roam with your gang and and chill in your territory. and if anyone enterd your territory you could ask them to leave and if they don't then you could kill them. If they were members of another gang and they deliberately went into your territory then you could declare war with them etc. just be imaginative and you could think of many other ideas of what could be done this is both ps3 and xbox 360. there will be a diferent map for each console Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Currently this site will only be informational and not interactive. e.g. you lot will hav to email me what you want to buy and when you want to fight instead of doing it via a form in the website. You can choose whether you want Bohan in the PS3 server or 360. I can't give you both because it would be unfair to other gangs. Hopefully you look after Bohan. Don't forget evryone, please promote this project i am doing throughout the web and if you can help me build the website, it would be great. btw ii made the site using iWeb 08 on a mac so if anyone else uses that or knows how to edit iweb sites please contact me if you are willing to help. thank you Anyone who helps me will get first choice of territory for their gang.
