Carbine23 Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 I just noticed something. There is no Swingers stadium in the game, and not even a field. I used to think that small miniture field was where the Swingers play but it isn't! I looked at the billboards surrounding the field and noticed that its where the Little Swingers Little League Team plays. I guess the same goes for the field on Charge Island. So if there's a real Swingers team then why is the stadium not in the game? There's no baseball stadium in Meadows Park or Bohan, and the field in Meadows Park is for the Little League Team. I some what agree but I think that the islands of Portland, Shorside Vale and Stauton Island are probably their own cities and are part of Liberty State now or maybe they're all part of Liberty City. None of us really know and we won't until R* says. Their will be the people who say this GTA isn't connected to the past then their will be the people who says it is. There has been links to past GTAs in IV that pretty much confirm everything is past GTAs have happened and that the past places exist as well as past characters. R* have never said this is a whole new GTA and the past GTAs never happened in the IV cannon. They never said the plate was being wiped clean. A ballpark would've been awesome...maybe with the ability to watch the game in progress from the stands, then go onto the field and acquire a wanted level. Alderney seems too industrious to be Shoreside Vale. Although, had you looked hard at the GTAIII map, you'd notice Shoreside Vale isn't an island as it connects to the edge of the map. There was suppose to be DLC with both consoles. I seem to remember in an early Q&A that the DLC stuff was just going to be Multiplayer updates and engines fixes though. Broker and Algonquin are the only boroughs that resemble the GTA III LC. This is a completely different city though, so none of the boroughs bear a lot of resemblance to any of the GTA III islands. As a big basketball-fan, I was hapily suprised to see courts that actually look like "rucker park" or "the cage"... but on a clother look, it's the same court everywhere... its just a different surrounding or way of connecting 2 courts! I had foreseen a mission where you would have to attend a game at MSG or Yankee/Mets stadium and perform an assasination without knowing exactly who you were supposed to kill, forcing you to search for clues inside the stadium while the game spans.
