What does 100% give you?

I'm asking this as I've finished the story (last mission: Keep your friends close?) and I want to know what having 100% gives you. Does it unlock some extra missions, or does it only make your armour/health higher or give you easy access to the best weapons, because if it's the latter I won't bother and just get stuck into GTA 3 (with realGTA3 mod installed). There's a lot to do to get 100% and I can't be bothered if it just gives you some powerups and the game just goes on and on forever. I think all games should have a definitive ending and not just go on and on when you've completed the story long ago.

After 100%, your health/armor maxes out at 200/200, Infinite ammo for all weapons, 3 guards you can recruit in the manison, the hunter spawns in Ocean Beach(near Lance's house in VCS), All vehicles take double the damage before blowing up. Hope this helps.

 

btw, There's not that much to do in VC for 100%-it can be done fairly quickly and easily(about 3 hours if you are fast enough and don't get wasted/busted too much). It is a good accomplishment to get 100% in each game from 3 to VC to SA to LCS to VCS. Both VC and GTA 3 has about the same amount of stuff to do to 100%-with VC just a few extra things(nothing you don't already know how to do easily if you did the SA storyline). It 's SA that has a lot to do for 100%. Hope this helps.

 

Also to note, VC gives you 100% rewards, whereas GTA 3 gives nothing upon 100% ecxept the satisfaction of knowing you finished it.

Yeps, that helps thanks. I thought there was a lot to do going by the checklist (for example around 36 unique jumps, I've only done around four. I've probably missed out a few as I did the 'Candy Suxxx' Spotlight mission using a helicopter).

 

By 100% rewards, do you mean a cutscene of some sort? I was disappointed by what I got after finishing the storyline, you know what I mean, I won't blab it out for those of us who haven't finished the storyline yet.

The "hunter spawning in ocean beach" reward is incorrect-- it is NOT a reward for 100%.

 

The hunter spawns at fort baxter if you complete the story or if you get 100 hidden packages.

 

The second hunter spawning point occurs if you complete both of the above.

 

Of course it would be a 100% reward if you completed the hidden packages or did the final story mission last...

 

All the other rewards mentioned are correct-- depending on what you have already done, it might take a while to finish up 100%, especially if you can't find that last jump or something-- a few are hard to register and there is no way to differentiate ones you did from those you have not in VC (you can tell in LCS and VCS if you have done them before)

 

-- i would at least finish all the actual side missions-- not the side tasks.... quite a few missions are side missions and not needed to complete the story---

 

Biker, Love Fist, Phil Cassidy, Avery, Cuban, Aunty missions are all side missions...

How good are the 3 guards you can recruit in the mansion?

 

And I assume they just follow you around everywhere?

The three guards are alright, not the best though. There in the room to your right as you enter Vercetti's mansion through the main entrance, and you give them a nudeg, and they'll follow you around. Nothing special.
