The easy way of keeping girl/friends happy.

Ok, so ive been hearing alot of whining about how much of an annoyance it is to keep all the people on your mobile happy all the frikkin time, so heres my advice.

 

first off... put the phone on silent mode as much as possible... only turn it off if you dont have any more missions to do (and dont forget to put it back on silent as soon as youve done a mission, because it resets after each mission)

 

that way your friends and girlfriends wont phone you and get upset cos you hang up on them or blow them off...

 

secondly, always remember that you can take your friends/girlfriends on up to 4 different events on each "date". What i usually do is first take them to an "event" (like the cabaret or the stripclub), then i take them to their favourite restaurant, then to another event (or possibly a game, but i hate those) and lastly to a bar and get drunk.

that way you maximise each date for "happiness points" on that person.

 

then you turn your phone to silent again hehe...

 

also, if something comes up, like an urgent mission that you have to do, but youve already planned a date with someone, make sure to call them up and cancel the date since that wont lower the likeness at all apparantly. (thanx to AntiPersonnel for that info)

 

so, in short:

 

* keep the phone on silent mode as much as possible

* always go to more than one event on your dates

* dont forget to cancel a date if something comes up (or you cant make it in time)

 

PS. best way of getting to dates on time is to grab a cab and skip the trip (sorry for the rhyme). This saves you loads of headaches.

 

alternatively, you can do as i did on my first play-through... just ignore anything non-story related.

i always accept the date offer from whoever is calling then immediately cancel plans. it doesnt affect their percentage.

 

ive had all my friends/gfs at 100% for over 2 in-game weeks and havent gone out with any of them once. occassionally you get a text saying they miss u and your percentage might drop a couple of points but its easily recovered.

 

while i was playing the story mode, i didnt do the phone sleep method because i was missing crucial phone calls that triggered story progress. i just used the above technique to keep all my friend management to a minimum

but they'd only do that if youre late for the date right? so it would be too late already then anyway...

no, mostly roman does it. he says "niko are u alive? your mom keeps emailing me" something like that and his percent drops 3% with a thumbs down icon when you get the text.

 

brucie and dwayne does it sometimes too. packie and jacob dont seem to do it.

 

kiki texts me about 3 times a day sometimes, but i usually dont get a thumbs down from her.

Simpler solution - ignore them.

 

Once I'd got what I needed from them for 100%, I never bothered with any of them. Well, with one exception - Dwayne. The perk of being his friend outweighs the irritation.

Jacob and Packie do it, they did it to me, can't remember what they say but you get a thumbs down for them.
