I agree, this game is just too easy. There wasn't one sinlge mission which would take more than 2 times, most of them were broken in first try. Hovewer, it's way better than VCS, in which some missions were unbelievably hard. (Turn on, tune in, bug out, and the one with getting away with a truck full of guns away from loads of sentinels with hitmen in them, which were armed with Uzis and almost always destroyed the truck, this mission was just about pure luck)

Most missions are fairly easy, but I like it that way. I did have trouble with a couple though. Darn bike chases annoy me. I seem to die more often when Im just mucking around. rather than on missions.

I have died quite a few times and been busted twice, but it definitely was very easy compared to San Andreas and GTA 3. SA took me a few months to finish (the storyline), but i had GTA IV finished in about 2 weeks.

It was definitely easier then the last ones, not on extreme terms, but yeah. I think a lot of the missions were just very repetitive. I'm not hating on the game, i really love playing it, but it definitely would of been better if it was a bit more difficult.

To be honest, this is the first GTA I've completed all the way through.

The cover system is what makes it easier. This is the first GTA that I can say I wouldn't dread having to do a big shootout again.

 

I'm getting towards the end now (74 missions), and I think some missions are more challenging then others.

 

The only cheat I've used is the clear wanted level cheat, because losing the cops can sometimes be annoying.

I made up a version of iron man GTA. (or maybe i just read about it, I forget.)

 

anyway,

 

1) start each mission with only the pistol and 1-2 clips of bullets. If you have more guns/grenades etc before a mission you must use them up before starting thatmission. (if you want to go ultra iron man you could only start missions with baseball bat and no gun - but that would make some missions almost impossible)

 

2) no buying guns during a mission. the only guns you can use are your starting pistol, guns you pick up from dead enemies during the mission, and guns given to you specifically for a mission (e.g. in 3LC you are given a carbine, so you can use that)

 

3) no using armour unless given it as part of a mission. No picking up armour during a mission.

 

4) no using health pickups or other forms of regenerating health during a mission (e.g. no ambulances, no paramedics, no hot dogs, no calling carmen)

 

5) no special ways of avoiding cops (e.g. pay and sprays, friends special abilities etc. You must simply outrun them and hide outside the wanted circle.)

 

6) no cheats of any kind (obviously)

 

7) no using helicopter unless specific to mission

 

8) (this is a real tough one sometimes so is optional to the degree you take it) no killing cops unless you absolutely must as part of the mission (e.g. clearing the alleyway in 3LC is ok because you cannot win the mission without doing it)

 

Now try it, and tell me if it is still easy

I'd rather keep going after being killed, your death count number shows you aren't a pansy that loads all the time =p

the missions are more difficult if you choose the cash. I mean I have been killed beacuse of glitches on the last mission more than anything else. So i know you can't have completed all the missions without dying once.

I'm not using cheats... lol. The cover system is was makes it easy yes but in a way it also makes it alot more funny to play. The missions that I found to be hardest was Jacobs stash missions... Sometimes the GPS takes you above the contact and you always discover this in the last second. I failed a couple of those I can admit but I never died.
