in need of mental help

hello, um

i accidentally used the wrong number and got the health and weapons cheat which prevented me from getting the manhunt achievement. so after i finished one playthrough and a little shenanigans i deleted all my saves off my xbox and restarted the game. when it came to the point where i could easily do the manhunt missions from the police computer, i did all of them, and yet no achievement. is there like no going back or what?

Honestly who gives a f*ck about some little message that pops up?

Achievements are for people with small nobs to brag about their useless points. sigh.gif

Achievements can be re-enabled by restarting the game session, meaning turn off the xbox and reload. (Or so I was told).

I have not done this for myself yet. I think it may be false because earlier today I had used a cheat to get weapons and health, that doesn't block "One Man Army" and I had used Wanted Level up and was fuxing with the cops for 20 mins. No achivement.

to the people bitching to the thread starter. Achievements are the best sh*t ever, seriously once i've finished most games, i tend to just never play them again. However achievements give more replay value, so there's no need to hate the dude for asking a question on achievements. If you have such a problem with them then don't click on a thread that involves something your gonna bitch about.

^im not denying that, but the dude asked a decent question and gets flamed for it.

like i said, the reason i like achievements, is for replay value.

I've been told that if you don't save it it won't stay....and also I just think it's fun to get 100% achievements on GTA IV as I'm trying to go for 100% of the game.

Achievements are for bragging rights. They are like trophies. PS3 fanboys screaming about achievements but PS3 will be integrating them once Home releases.

Its like this, you see someone got 1,000 kills in COD4 or something like that. It shows experience. Yea, anyone can get those achievements, but it shows who got there already, and it shows their experience, and if yo don't have it, it shows, that you should fux with that person.

However there is a downside, ALOT of people cheat to get them. Some things you can't cheat to get. OR should I say Boost to get.

All in all, its a very nice system, and it seperates those who just play the game, and those who are hardcore enought to take the top achievements, like 100% of all GTA, or 1,000,000 hit points in Lost Odessey, or Defeating Halo 3 on Legendary.

COD4 doesn't have any MP achievements...

Anyway you are correct on everything else. I thought that achievements were nothing also until I started getting them and wanted more. Yes they are for bragging rights but they list all the things a person has accomplished in their 360 gaming history and although I don't care if people boost for the outrageous achievements (something like GOW's come to mind) Anything that is managable should be obtained by skill.

Another thing, you can save and save and save and still get the achievments. You just have to end the current session. As for your case, I have no idea what's up.

Also, beating COD 4 on vetreran difficulty (including Mile High Club) is a f*cking achievement if I ever saw one...

i haven't quite got mile high club yet, f*cking difficult.

Exactly, do you know what kind of thrill you get from completting that damn mission. After dying countless times and coming a tad too late? It's good to have a medal of sorts to show people what you have done.

Well alot of people will say "yeah yeah i did mile hile club veteran pffff easy", but achievements are pretty much solid proof of it, so its evidence as well as bragging rights

Waterbottle

Are you sure you have done all most wanted missions? There are 30 in total, 10 on each island.

ForcedInduction

does anyone on this forum know how to use the f**cking search function, I just assume since your asking a simple question that has been answered hundreds of times that your either can't read or are a complete noob that needs

cheats for achievements that are easy anyway.

use cheats, no save= ok icon14.gif

use cheats, save= noob/epic fail icon13.gif
