FierceDeityIX
Hey, In my rig i've got a shiny 8800gt which is very well used for modern games like Crysis but every now and then I like to go retro and play games through Dosbox for example. Anyway, I downloaded the Rockstar Classics GTA since my original CD didn't work. I try running it and... Crash. I read that it was to do with the 8800 and did some googling but got no results. Is there a patch to get my CD version running? I tried running it through Dosbox but it was choppy. Please help!
Pixelated
The original GTA you downloaded from Rockstar classics is supposed to be setup and optimized for newer OS's. There are no new updates for those free games that I'm aware of. If you are using Windows Vista try right clicking on the GTA.exe and setting it to Windows XP or Windows 2000 compatibility mode. beeurd
I also seem unable to run GTA on my 8800 Ultra (with Win XP). The game menus display all right, but the in-game graphics are all distorted beyond recognition.
