And as you know, the Mafia have shotguns, so it's almost impossible to drive through St. Marks without being killed. And Turmismo requires you to race through St. Marks. Using a tank wouldn't work, leaving me with the BP Patriot. However, should I use that or try and nab one of the BP/FP/EP Cheetas? Lindbergh Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 If you want a cheesy, easy win, before you start the race try to jack each of the other cars. You won't be able to open the door, but when you start the race they'll move at a crawl. Then you just have to make it through the mafia area alive and you're golden. OGFlak Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 The way I finally got it done (I'm terrible with fast cars) is I nabbed a firetruck from the station and hit the siren, and when you get to the start line just plow into the other cars. Try not to take your corners too sharp and watch out for small hills where you can easily get stuck. My time was around 190 or something with this method but it worked, very easily. And if you did the mission with a Banshee before Asuka's first mission, you should have no trouble. Or did you wait until after you did her first mission and not use the BP Patriot? I'm only at Portland right now.. though the mafia are 4 missions away from hating me.. but I'm actually looking forward to challenging myself.. because let's be honest.. there are very few missions within GTA III that are difficult.. Perhaps this subject deserves its own thread.. but in almost every other game out there we have difficulty choices, easy, medium & hard.. GTA is the only game ive ever played without these choices. The reason I bring this up here, is because it would add so much to the replay value for missions like these.. I am now trying to make it harder on myself to feel the challenge, like doing this race whilst the Mafia hate me... but imagine if all the drivers drived normally, if not perfect.. imagine if we could pick a a difficult setting.. I done this mission earlier in a God damn taxi with the mafia hating me.. an came an easy first, the other cars constantly f***ed up.. I won in a taxi! in a street race! ok.. rant over.
