ovisebdan
I put a cube in SA following a tutorial using MEd. The problem is, I can't see the object in the game. It's invisible. Actually, I can see it, but only from a specific angle and distance. When I get closer, it disappears. Everything's fine in MEd. As I said, I followed a tutorial and did everything exactly as it said. I even used another tutorial, but still no luck. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance! It's not big at all, it's about double the size of CJ. How do I make an LOD file?
l3mmy
I had this problem not long back..it was the .txd file..Make sure its all correct (in my case, it was set to the wrong version of GTA)
ovisebdan
I had this problem not long back..it was the .txd file..Make sure its all correct (in my case, it was set to the wrong version of GTA) I tried making it specifically for SA using G-TXD (as the tutorial said) and I also tried making it using GTA SA Ultimate Editor, but it was the same in both cases (well... I first saw the cube in the game after trying with G-TXD, but maybe I just hadn't noticed it before).
TSH
Maybe your object axis is not in the center of it?
JohnPro
I think it has something to do with the collision file and the dff. Who made the cube? How do I make an LOD file? Just use the same model with a different name, an empty col file and LOD set to a high number. You can also use low res textures to avoid lag on lower end pc's
TSH
Lod file doesnt need .col cuz it is using same col as the model it belongs to
ovisebdan
Maybe your object axis is not in the center of it? Meaning... ? I think it has something to do with the collision file and the dff. Who made the cube? I did, using Google SketchUp Pro.
xmen
I did, using Google SketchUp Pro. SketchUp sucks too much however its quite easy, so use 3ds max, i hope you wont have that problem in this, if problem persists then Convert your model to Editable Mesh, if its already in it then use another tool to export the dff because kams dff IO sometimes do that problem, mean model get disappear from 3 or more sides, specially the cube (i.e. Box)

xownage
Thanks for the help but following tht the "object" is flickering:S
Arvis
Flickering when rotating camera? Try to change coords. 2977.75 This coordinate seems to be very close 3000 which is map size limit, and your object might be large enough to hit the limit (or i'm wrong?), try to place it somewhere on the roads, should work then i think. ovisebdan
Thanks for all the help but I don't have time to deal with this anymore. I guess I'll have to try again the next time I start modding.
