How do you steal the infernus?

Im on brucies first racing mission 1ST , and i was wondering how you steal the infernus? I drove up just before the marker and got out. I went up to the infernus driver and shot him in the head, it said race was sabotaged i tried getting in te car and it was locked. It then blacked out to Brucie taking me home.

 

HOW DO I get the infernus??

You will get one later on in the game for doing a few missions for someone as a gift.

No you can't steal the ones in races.

 

Bernie Crane gives you the Infernus after the mission Buoys Ahoy around 75% through the story

you can steal one in the races..thats how my brother got the infernus for me when he was round here playing...he done the same thing you would do in vice cuty/san andreas...dont go across the finish marker wait for them cars to catch up then do it the cars will then be unlocked..just kill the drivers and take it.well thats what he did anyway

I stole it really easily. I called up Brucie for a race, drove to the start line but didn't park in the spot. I looked at all the cars in the line-up and saw the Infernus. So I just got out, pulled out my Uzi, held L2, aimed at the drivers head and pulled the trigger....and BAM, he was dead. The race was called off, so I got into the Infernus and drove away a happy man!

 

 

 

 

So, basically, don't park in the spot, and shoot the driver in the car that you want. This way worked for me.

you can only jack them from races that are extracurricular.

since you are in a required story mission, you dont have the option to sabotage the race yet.

 

BTW this is the first time in the game you get a comet, so dont blow the opportunity by trying to trade it in for a infernus.

 

win the race, keep the comet, then go for the infernus later.
