Yeah, it was a cheap shot. Like calling people Red Hulks.

Don't call people morons if you can't spell, it really doesn't help your case much. Don't call people ignorant if you write like a retard. Your English is just fine, it's just your spelling is sh*t.

Would you like me to send you a gift token to a game store so you can find something more exciting to play?

yes please(evry thing but viva piniata)

Mines in the other way around.

I got bored with SA and can play IV forever.

SAME! sa was very boring with the crappy shooting and stuff. All of the feature i thought would keep me drawn to it didn't (like pool, casinos etc.) only a few features were cool but most were just stupid.

I love shootouts and driving and physics and damage and so on and so on...in gtaIV. biggrin.gif

I think they're both great games. I was playing SA on release day and played it up until I sold my original Xbox two months ago. It was one of the best games ever released, but there's something about the look feel and style of IV that makes me feel it's a better, more exciting game.

I get the feeling that once the DLC is released, I'll be even further hooked into it. I think I've played an average of four hours a day since I bought the game. That probably won't change much.

EDIT: JS1989: It was a joke. I was trying to insinuate that I'd send you a really sh*tty game. I guess you missed the joke part of it.

I was being sarcastic:P and I totally agree about the look and style of gta 4 but I get a feeling that R* didn't put so many things in that they could put in, really really easy things u know. For example(just an example I'm not saying my opinion is completely based on this one thing) 2 pairs of glasses? I wonder why? then i think too put it in the dlc?

Bear in mind that they had to make the game look better. Bear in mind that the city is almost the size of San An, but much, much taller.

Bear in mind that if you grab a heli and go straight up, you can see the entire city, without it fogging into the distance. It's an incredible achievement. There have been so many complaints about the lack of gloves, side missions, glasses etc, yet people seem to be overlooking the bigger picture - that R* have created the best approximation of a city in any game to date. ANY game.

The city is so realistic vibrant and alive that the stuff that got left out is sort of irrelavent. The achievement of the city, with it's hundreds of cars, peds, tons of dialogue, etc etc etc is so huge that we should be prepared to overlook the little things that have been left out.

The key to GTAIV was realism. Was it really realistic to BASE jump? No. It's out.

Was it really realistic that a guy would jump in an ambulance or a fire engine and go and help out? No. It's out.

Is it realistic to own hundreds of different outfits? No. They're gone.

You have to overlook the fact that a lot was chopped out, then look at it like this:

"Does GTA IV give a realistic portrayal of life in a major metropolis? Does it look and feel impressive to drive or run around? Does it have life on every street? Does it make you feel like you're in an incredibly realistic simulation of an actual real place?"

I can answer yes to all of those questions. If you can't, then you're either expecting too much from an already over-worked production team, or your view of life in the real world isn't very realistic.

That's what I meant about taking a taxi ride. Even though you're not doing anything, there is so much going on around you that I personally find it hard to be bored. I recognise that the game has many flaws, but I overlook them as the game is quite incredible.

Rockstar should be very very proud of themselves.

I don't think it's really the point of hundreds of clothes, but what those clothes actually are.

SA's clothing selection was wasted with alot of novelty crap.

GTA IV's clothing while smaller, suits Niko's character alot better.

the truth is it took me(and most of u all) like 6 months to get bored of gta san andreas, and even though it bored me I kept playing it for another 6 months.

I remember people complaining about being bored with san andreas in less than a month, the only thing that saved san andreas was the pc version, because you could mod it.

Whats does graphics have to do with the city feeling alive?

I agree gameplay is more important, but I personally think GTA IV is one of few games that has pulled off both nicely.

And another guy that obviously can't understand what I'm trying to say.

I don't think I'm intelligent, I know I am.

This game, for me, has great graphics, yes. But it also has an incredibly well written storyline, well written characters and some of the best gameplay I've ever seen in a game. If it had the graphics of GTAIII, sure, it wouldn't be as incredible as it is, but they do add to the overall experience, obviously. I mean, it's on the latest console technology, of course they're important here.

The game has truly shone for me because of the gameplay. Because of the story, characters and overall experience. Don't try and act like a big man, if you're not going to take the time to read what I've actually said and try to comprehend it all.

I say that's the eye candy bulsh*t that doesnt really add to the experience. yes rockstar wants to screw out of your penny's for some more content, but most of you are really just about complaining. just go play the sims, geez sleepy.gif

GTA IV is the best game has been made . keep this a rule in your mind : ( any new GTA on a new generation won't have the features of the last GTA on the previous generation ) . Rockstar focused on the realistic things more than the unrealistic things in GTA IV , GTA SA was unrealistic game , can you enter a military base in the real life ? can you steal F-16 plane easily in the real life ? ....etc . The people are divided into two sections :

- the first : The people who prefer the realistic things . you can do approximately all realistic things in the real life , you live in a new LC where the city has became " a live breathing city " . you can feel the difference between the morning , the afternoon and the night . the game has dynamic lighting and the textures have became simulating the real life instead of the cartoony style in the previous GTA games . I have finished GTA IV , and I am still playing it for 5 hours per a day at least . I really feel like someone who lives in NY City , I have fun when I stand at the coast and watching the sea which has became simulating the real life , you can see the sun's reflects on it and the buildings' reflects . I have fun when I stand on high building and watching the distance , you can see the distance easily , in GTA SA when you watching the buildings in far distance , you can't see them . in GTA IV you can drive without fearing from the stupid drivers , if you remember in GTA SA when you drive on a highway , the game is suffering from Frame Rate issues . so , while you drive the car , the people stop their car suddenly , then you crash into them , and the POP-IN issues in GTA SA were stupid , the cars were appear suddenly . but in GTA IV all these things have been upgraded . Euphoria engine is making the game a real life , the animations are the best , I have fun when I see people walking or falling , their bodies and NIKo's body are interacting with the environment .. I usually try to shoot them to see different animations every time . I can't describe this engine . but GTA IV is a real life more than a video game .

The second : The people who prefer the unrealistic things .

Most of the people prefer the realistic things .

can you tell me what you did in SA after reaching 100% that you can´t do in GTAIV now ?

I just don´t get it, people act like san andreas had to offer much more mini games and sh*t to do..but what?? making CJ work out? You can go bowling, play darts, or play pool or - like in every other GTA- just run around causing mayhem..I really don´t get what is so much different in SA

Yeah I don't really understand it either. I haven't finished SA 100% (Never 100%'ed any GTA), but I don't imagine there would be much to do that you've already done. Much less 100s of times before.

Only thing I can think of is planes, parachuting etc, but they even get old.

This installment of GTA blew every other previous version out of the water. It made GTAIII look like GTA. If you can't see that, you're not looking at it in the right way. Get a cab, go from Francis International to the Alderney Correctional Facility without skipping and just look around. It's incredible.

actually I CAN complain and im doing it right now, and yes thats exactly my point I am playing something else right now because gta 4 is already boring me. I have taken many cabs but u get enough of it after 50th times.

gta 4 is gta 3 with better graphic and bikes and planes

it doesn't have planes you can drive stupid

Are you serious? San Andreas was like a whole universe. More clothes, more safehouses, more choices, more everything. Plus 3 different complete cities and regions. The Las Venturas Strip complete kills Star Junction, Rodeo in Los Santos had more clothing stores than the whole city of Liberty, and San Fierro had density if you wanted an urban life. That alone gives it more replay value than GTAIV after missions. Then you add that fact that if you save the game at certain points before you get 100% of the territory, you will ALWAYS have gangwars. Its 2008 and Im still fighting gangwars. Who will Niko be fighting in 3 years? lol For anybody to say that IV is even half as revolutionary as SA is a joke. GTAIV fanboys must be sipping or smoking something outta this world, and whatever it is I need it. f*ck bowling, f*ck darts, only pool is cool. San Andreas had something for everybody. Only a fanboy can play IV religiously.

I don't understand why people complain about people not liking GTA IV in this forum, the MAJORITY of this forum has complaints about it and to my logic, majority decisions & agreements are what the majority think and agree with isn't it? so the majority decision can't be wrong, can it? I mean if 9 out of 10 topics were praising this game, I'd say, yes, some people just don't see what everyone else sees great in the game, but when at least 7 out of 10 posts are about what people find wrong about this game, there has to be something sub-par about it.

It shouldn't matter if its complaining about lack of customization or planes and parachutes or whatever, (well the gloves thing is a really stupid thing to complain about in my opinion) all it shows it what the majority wanted in the first place, and if the majority didn't get what they want, then that is a problem I think everyone can see, even if they don't agree with what people are complaining about in the game.

If the masses aren't satisfied = there IS something wrong.

I would give this game 8/10

I respect the effort R* put in and they should be proud, of the visuals, their first attempt of a GTA on the current next gen consoles being a success etc.

I also accept that the game had to be released quickly because of Bully and Manhunt 2 being censored and having to be redone, which cost them an unbelievable amount of money, and also messed up other companies game releases as they were working around R*'s initial GTA release around October.

So with that in mind I would at least say well done for releasing such a good game with such circumstances that I just mentioned.

I don't know what the future holds with GTA IV DLC-wise but I can only assume with their record GTA IV sales, that they have at least broken even with the money they lost last year, so they can work on putting in maybe what as missed in the game.

While I may only think this game as good, I know things can get better.

Long live R*, long live GTA.

Oh and P.S.

If EA take over Take Two, pray the makers of GTA leave and set up another company and continue to make GTA games on their own, or they'll end up fading away into EA's dark vacuum of creativity nothingness.

I love the game and I have a lot of fun with, when I'll begin to get bored, the adds-on will be coming. tounge.gif

edit: Plus, multiplayer, when clearly organized is really fun!
