LAUGH_INSURANCE Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) What I don't like about GTA 4 is, we can't fly planes, we can't go in the airport without getting wanted stars, Niko gives-up too easily where he sometimes stops running from the cops and sticks his hands in the air (where the other characters in the GTA games make a run for it), we can't buy safe houses so that there's more to save our game at instead of travelling miles unless we spend money on taxi fares, there's too many cops about, there's too many missions with car chases and the game is mostly dark. It seems to be night mostly when I load my game and the railways tracks above the roads darken things. I know that's what New York is like but this game has too much darkness. The mission in the club where you have to shoot the men and go after the other, I couldn't see the exit for a number of attemps because it was too dark in there. I don't give a crap if there is only one airport, there was only one in GTAIII and there was a plane. I don't think there should of been a 747 or a private jet, but a cessna would of been perfect to just cruise around the city or incorporate another mission like in VC where you scatter magazines everywhere. IMO, for R* to perfect GTAIV it would be: -Remove GPS (It takes away memorizing roads and shortcuts, so I'm clueless about the city now and need to play a longer boring game to memorize it like past GTA's. You can say remove it yourself in-game, but it was to late by the time I played the game to notice I'm not remembering a single road.) -Add more unique races (Races on that beach in Alderney in Sanchez's would of been a great idea.) -Firefighter, Cab, and Ambulance missions (You can say not realistic, but if you add the fact of Niko volunteering (by having to ask a hospital worker to work there maybe). -Parachutes (It's really not that bad of an idea, realism can be very boring, otherwise we could just go outside. One on top of the Rotterdam Tower would of been a neat novelty and if you're so realistic, R* could add a instant 3 star wanted level for parachuting off that since it is illegal. -More games other than Qubed. (It's just the fact of having more there and diverse mini-games, that just adds to the replay value of the game.) -Original GTAIII saga camera views (I like the new camera view, but I'd like to switch back every now and then to the old way, especially in cars) -Friends being so annoying (Forget them, it's a CHORE taking them out bowling. Enable bowling, drinking and any other activity to be able to do on your free time whenever you want. I mean, who want's to hang out with a whiney b*tch all day? It's fine imo for you to call them up and take them out, but them nagging is serisouly old) They could of added more original ideas for mini-games also.. they can think that crap up.. I'm not the one who is making millions to do so And what's up with the trend in this thread of everybody hating on the topic starter and picking apart his post like everyone else did? Jesus christ, he already was mocked at once. edit: And I loved the wasted space in San Andreas, it left for more exploring to be done. Though, it would be pretty cool, I guess it can work if they made the map bigger - - making Alderney bigger, giving it a country side and Bohan too. Things are not always black&white. Tony in fact loves the game, but resents some obvious shortcomings. So what, he's not allowed to make some comments?
