MrGizmo
I started playing WoW in early 2007, then turned to console gaming, now I play WoW. http://teaser.wow-europe.com/ Click this link, leave it installing over night, try out the free-trial for a while and play the ultimate game. Not going to bore with you with my epic story of WoW, but just trust me, you wont regret getting it.
Mike Tequeli
WOW is just digital crack. It isn't fun, but if you have a lot of time on your hands then this is for you. I still prefer real games.
The Killa
I played WoW for a while. Pre-BC. I was "hardcore", in terms of the players. My guild did Naxxramas frequently and had AQ-40 on farm. But then, WoW starting interfering with my real life. Thats when I realized the game sucked, and I went back to my casual (console) gaming. Went away for 4 months Wow-less (been playing for 1 1/2 years in total) Played gears of war, GTA IV, Halo 3.... All amazing games, something about WoW though, just kicks all those games asses. Tetsuo2501
I played wow for four years, and I recently sold my last account, I myself loved pre-BC as well, got up to twin emps in aq40 and patchwerk in naxx, cleared ssc/tk/hjal, and went 8/9 bt before i called it quits. that game is too repeditive for me now. gta_king
It isn't fun I have to disagree. I've had more fun going through the Zul'Farrak Instance on WoW then I have in any other online game. Theres something about being able to work as a proper team making your way through an Instance that you don't get with other games. I love WoW, I don't play for hours on end every day it's more for an hour or two every couple of days and it's a great game.

Damo.
All this online gaming never appealed to me. I played RTB a few times, but having a laptop made playing it a living hell.

I hate ZF so much, not my least favorite but still ZF blows. Instancing is fun I guess but when you factor in how much time is instancing and how much is just playing with yourself I don't consider worth my time or money. The quests blow, you go around gather ears or some sh*t but later find out only one in 13 wolves has an ear. Nothing creative, the quests are quantity not quality, which even Oblivion can do better for me. I just don't like the missions, again instancing with other people for loot (as lame as it is) was kind of fun.
ViceDog
The terms you World of Warcraft players use is actually quite humorous. I seriously have no idea what you guys are on about. A friend of mine was addicted to World of Warcraft and it kind of ruined him. He headed home straight after school to play the game, instead of hanging out with his friends. His school work started to suffer and sometimes he didn't even bother showing up. That was more or less the reason why i refrained from playing this game. AZAZEL
My neighbor convinced me to start playing it. I liked it at first, and did play for almost two years, but the last 6 months or so were dreadful, and everything just felt like an endless grind. It doesn't do anything for me anymore. CrazeLaze
I want to play this game. But I can't. It takes to much from your life, and is just repetitive, I only got as far as Lvl 40, and have never played in a raid. If I every get a point in my life, when I have time to play it, I will be reactivating my account. In my opinion, It's not really a game, but more like a "Time-killer"
jelly
I tried it, I think the free trial was 10 days or something.. In any case, it took me a week to find out it was not for me. Kill creatures, gain level, find money, find items, rinse, repeat - process gets exponentially slower as you approach level 60. To me it was less like a game and more like a boring, repetitive job. If I want a job I prefer one that pays, not one I have to pay for. To each his own, I guess. Maybe I'd bother playing it casually if it wasn't subscription-based. To me it's definitely not worth the price premium they claim they need to maintain server upkeep.

Luck of the Irish
I used to play it, I had 3 level 60's and two level 70's, then I realised that because of WoW I had absolutely no life. So I sold all of them except one (just incase I decide to play again, but CASUALLY) and quit, havn't played in a year. It should be called World of Warcrack... GTA3Freak-2001
My neighbor convinced me to start playing it. I liked it at first, and did play for almost two years, but the last 6 months or so were dreadful, and everything just felt like an endless grind. It doesn't do anything for me anymore. Almost how I got into it, a mate down the road gave me his trial and for a good 18 months I was addicted but as you say towards the end its just a endless grind and the big raids were such a hassle because of the time it took to organize things and then only to have people have to leave. I gave up and just let my subscription run out, it was fun at times and its the first game I've really felt part of a real living world. Just the size of the place and all that was really great. bigmamatuna
I used to play WoW for about a year and then it just all hit at once that the game was lacking any balance. Basically, if you could play 10 hours a day and grind all the high end instances, you were better then everyone else. Especially in PvP. They tried to balance it out a bit by making the instance and PvP sets but even then it was still the same routine. If you had enough time you were already better then someone else. Since then the only other online game I've gotten into is EVE and I play with a couple of friends and like it a lot. EVE is more about HOW you use what you have rather then just having better things. Plus, skills can train while I'm not even playing. For example, during finals I was just training week long skills and not worrying about keeping up with it. Creed Bratton
Not really my thing. But I heard about this realistic wild west mmo being made and its to be released by the end of this year I think. Its called "Frontier 1859" Check that out. Im sure its gonna be a lot better then nerdy WoW
tuff_luv_capo
WoW commercials always make it out to be amazing. Nothing like actually sitting there and clicking your guy to do stuff.
Blind Joe Death
I never got into WoW. Some of my mates play it and tbh, I don't see what all the fuss is about. I've never really played it though so I can't talk.
TommyAngelo
You know what's better then WoW, real life. Go up the ranks and get a new job, promotion...what ever. Better then sitting on your ass all day playing WoW.
chrisisking
You know what's better then WoW, real life. Go up the ranks and get a new job, promotion...what ever. Better then sitting on your ass all day playing WoW. Thats very subjective and up to the individual/player to decide, if they wanna play WOW all day instead of doing other things? Thats up to them. But for me, I have never played it and don't intend to. That game has ruined so many peoples lives and killed a fare few ! So I think I'll personally stick to my PS3 and 360 (casual/fun) gaming as thats more than enough for me and I'm what you'd call a hardcore gamer. Oblivionz
Well, I wandered upon a Wrath Of The Lich King installer a while earlier and I installed it, it took about 2 hours, and I'm playing it on a private server right now. It's pretty cool, but I'm only gonna play it for a while longer because of my friend.
Mike Tequeli
You're playing wrath of the Lich King? GTFO I probably won't get it when it comes out, I can spend money on better things.
AbbaZabba
Here's a question for ya. Can I play WoW casually and still have fun/ get anywhere? I don't have a lot of time for video games, but the game looks very cool. Is this game right for someone who will only play twice a week for an hour or two? I don't have a lot of time for video games, but the game looks very cool. Is this game right for someone who will only play twice a week for an hour or two? Of course you can. I only play for an few hours every couple of days. The game in no way sucks away your life like others would have you believe. You can play it as much or as little as you like. I've got a level 55 Mage and have been playing since November last year and as I said I only play for a few hours every couple of days. There has been some days where i've played it for hours upon end but thats the same with any video game. Of course if you go into things like Raiding or Instancing then they will take a bit more time. I don't know about Raiding but Dungeon Runs can take anywhere from 15 mins to a couple of hours but it's up to you if you do them. I would advise Instancing though because it can be a lot of fun if you get the right party.
MISTO
I pay to own a game. And once I own it, I have to pay again to be able to play with it. That's why I'll never play WOW
