Nothingface420
Is there any way to convert a screensaver into a AVI file or any video file? I tried a few screen capture programs, but they didn't work. If you know of a good screen capture program that will capture the screen saver, let me know.

Rocketkiller
RenderSoft CamStudio is a tool used for recording screen activity into standard AVI video files. Search Google for more information. Just to let you know, there's no such thing as a "standard" avi file, avi is just a container, the format could be anything. But how about a program that can "play" screensaver files? As in, something that will render them as a video or something.

I can't seem to think of anything but recording on-screen activity.
Otter
I think your best bet, in this case, is using a PVR to record the output, or, looping your output to the input of a video capture card. It's a little roundabout, but because of the way windows handles screensavers, I think it may be your best bet. Give Camstudio a shot, however - it's a useful program, very good for creating those "standard" avi's or mov's, and great for recording desktop activity. Heh, I think AVI, as a protocol, is what's considered standard. Be it uncompressed, cinepak, intel, div-X, whatever. The point being, it doesn't spit out some proprietary bullsh*t like bink video.
