BUT DOES any1 else agree with me? on the fact the this game is tonnes better thaN GTA IV??? I DO, GTA IV IS A DISAPPOINMENT, ITS NOT HALF HAS FUN AS GTA:SA.. TO BE HONEST I WOULD OF LIKED THEM TO BRING OUT GTA IV ON PS2 AND SAN ANDREAS ON THE 360 ITS LIKE THERE TAKING THE GTA SERIES BACKWARDS TO VICE CITY, THE GAMEPLAY IS UNBELIEVABLY LIMITED!!! Not sure about GTA IV Though, I don't have any consoles, so I can't play it, and I'm not buying a console just for 1 game, so I'll will wait and see if it comes to PC. If not... However, it does not even come near the complexity rolled up into simplicity of Starcraft or the constant gameplay style changes of Half-Life 2. So - it's in the top 20, possibly even 15, but not the best game ever. Also... OP, LEARN TO SPELL!! And have you ever heard the term "Backwards compatibility"? Well, learn it before you start ranting about how you want to play your SA on X360. The list of X360 compatible games. lil weasel Posted May 18, 2008 Share Posted May 18, 2008 GTA:SA is the most playable and replayable game I've experienced. Graphics work, if crude at times, and play is nice, if difficult at times. GTA: IV is pretty. Realistic, Boring . Cut scenes are long, too frequent. Missions are short, not requring much thought. I have no sympathy for the charactors. It would've been f*cking awesome if we got to play with a Mafia dude from Venturas or a street thug from Fierro. I personally didn't like SA, but it had interesting features, and idiotic ones, such as taking exercise, feeding CJ, clothing CJ, parachuting, diving, JETPACKS... This all felt like chores instead of being fun. These were the features GTA did not need, and Rockstar focused more on it being a criminal version of Sims rather than having a realistic storyline and characters. Every single character in the game was a dull stereotype, especially CJ. He was always like: "Yeah bitch, imma cap yo niggur ass you punk ass busta, ho!" and it seriously annoyed people. The jetpack was the thing that really brough the game to my lowest standards; And I don't even have to explain why. If you have a brain, you'll figure it out. It's not nearly the best game ever, but nor is GTA3, nor Vice City... Zelda: Ocarina of Time was voted best game ever, although I thought it sucked ass.... The point is, San Andreas could've been a much more immense game with deeper characters and no jetpacks. The only characters I liked there were The Truth, Catalina, Salvatore and Claude, because they weren't stereotypes unlike the other characters... And the last thing. The controls and physics majorly sucked unlike in the previous games. CJ felt like a cement statue when running, and when hit by a car, he'd run for another second and then fall... And when you hit people with cars, the car almost hits a full stop, which wasn't fun. Now, I'm sorry if I hurt someone's feelings in this post, just think of it as another opinion. ABOUT IV: You people only think it's lamer than SA because its your fault. Yes, your fault. You overhyped the game tuo much, but the game is up there, on a throne where SA can only dream of being... IV is my favourite of the two, but III is still my favourite GTA- and my favourite game. I still play it pretty much every time I dust off my PS2. San Andreas was excellent, loved the new features, and the music (I don't really like rap), but I liked KDST, Very much. It is still my favorite, but maybe till GTA4 Comes on PC. But they went in a new direction. I guess thats a good thing for the future of GTA. San An is excelent. The countryside, the cities, desert. Its an epic journey. And the multiplayer mod for PC is great. You can do almost anything in SA, that you can do in IV. Except, climbing ladders, taking cover,going on the internet, bowling and darts and flying through the windshield. And not being "HD". But we also cant compare IV to SA directly.
