Sequels, prequels and remakes:

I love GTA IV. Lord knows it has its issues, but I definitely got my moneys worth with this game. Obviously everyone is talking about what the next game will bring us, but with the movie and gaming industry so stuck on prequels, sequels and re-makes the idea the next GTA won't be all-new isn't that far out there. I love that Rockstar takes the time to flesh out an entirely new universe every time a new game is released, but after GTA IV, I'd be more easily pleased than that. I think all that effort would be wasted on me the next time around.

 

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I would gladly pay $60 to play Vice City on the new engine. Hell, I'd be happy playing Niko in VC. There was something light-hearted that I really liked about Vice City and I think revisiting it would be a blast. Rockstar could use a portion of their art department to re-create GTA:VC on the new engine and use all the same voice and cut scenes and I'd love every minute of it.

 

So if the next game is a prequel, a sequel or a re-make: Which one would you prefer?
