blitsbebop
GTA4 won't even play anymore for me because today my 360 puts deep marks into the GTA4 disk. I can't even look at the map with out the game stoping on me. The other day the game had no marks on it now after 14 mins of playing it has 5 deep marks (deep like you can feel them if you feel the disk). I can't stand this sh*t anymore...I took this game back 2 freakin times over this! My other problem is my 360 use to say the game was broken even doe it had no marks on it. blitsbebop
I don't think that will work...these are not marks like you can clean they marks are VERY deep. I want a ps3 but at the same time I don't want to miss out on the DLC.

RollsRoyceD
My games having the same problem bro.. Its annoying as f*ck. I just replaced my other IV game that messed up too. They had 2 seperate problems. The one I had first, after awhile, their was a lopsided circled fade around the inside of my disc. Now this game I got after I traded in the other one, has scratch circles around the outside of the disc. IV is the only game my consoles doing it to, I havent moved me console at all, Its laying flat. I just odnt know whats up with it. Every 20 minutes itll say it cant read the disc, take out disc and clean it. Then in the main screen comes up, and itll start reading it again. I dont know man.. this sh*t is getting on my nerves. Havent had this new disc for more than a week. The other one I only had for 1 week. So I hope its just faulty discs, and not my 360.
Švejk
There's yer problem... I read that basically the laser itself causes the sever scratches, and it's not only you. I've been reading that hundreds of people with Xbox's have this problem and there is little to help it, unless you like opening things and messing about. cmh
You're not supposed to tilt the console with the disk in. That's what will be causing the scratches. It even tells you not to do that in the manual.

garywobby
When choosing what next gen console I wanted to buy I read a lot on the internet to decide which was best for me, even though 360 gets the exclusive DLC I chose the PS3 basically because the 360 seems to have a very high failure rate, I don't want to spend my money on something that's gonna break down in no time and I think, regardless of what all you haters say, that Sony is a very good make and they've never let me down. I've had Sony TV's, video players, DVD players, even a Sony clock radio, PS1, PS2 and now PS3 and they've NEVER let me down. Sony deals in quality products and this ain't no fanboy sh*te, this is just my personal thoughts. The 360 seems to have been rushed out so it can win the console war regardless of the fact that it obviously wasn't finished yet. That's Microsoft for you though, take the money and run and f*ck the people that gave them this money. My opinion, flame me, bash me, do whatever the f*ck you want, but i'm happy with a console that doesn't break down regularly.

My family owns just one TV, and it happens to be a Sony. It was bought in 1992 and its NEVER had problems and it NEVER broke down. Besides it being dusty, it has been used almost every single day since it's been bought. Same goes with the PS2, I remember mine fell from a frikken shelve, and IT STILL WORKED perfectly. Aside from a little bump on the left corner, it has absolutely no problems. At the end of the day, it's quality that matters.
garywobby
Microsoft should stop being so greedy and try releasing a quality product as Sony do. Don't get me wrong, i'm actually thinking of buying a 360 just for the DLC but I don't want to waste money on something that'll break down within a few weeks just because of rushed production. Message to Microsoft :-Take your time and get things right then you stand a pretty good chance of winning the console war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we have a sony radio that is about 20 years old and still putting out. When people are trying to decide on which console to get, dont just base it off of how gta iv might run. Look at each console's exclusives and then go down the list. I went with ps3, because of gran turismo 5, and driver 5. And SR2 is coming out on both, so that influenced my choice a bit. I aren't basing my choice on how GTA IV might run, i'm also not basing my choice on console exclusives, i'm basing it on reliability. From what i've read on these forums and all over the internet the 360 isn't very reliable, it has a higher breakdown rate than the PS3 and that swung my choice, I want to spend my money on something that's gonna last me a while and Sony have never let me down in that department, regardless of what i've bought from them. Yeah, I personally avoid consoles - they seem a much of a muchness to me. But if I was given a choice, I'd say PS3. Simply put, the 360 is too much of a liability, it breaks down, the support for it is sh*tty and I think paying to play online is just downright greedy. I ain't starting no fan boy war i'm just expressing my opinion, I DID say that Microsoft would have a better chance of winning the console war if they took their time with their products and made them last as Sony do(At least for me and everyone else I know anyway.) I mean, lets face it, X-Box has the superior online and the GTA exclusive DLC so the war should be over and X-Box should've won, it hasn't though because it's released a machine that is very well known for breaking down regularly. Sort it out and X-Box has won, keep up with the unreliability and they've lost, simple as that.
