Why did he keep singing "f*ck the FBI" and "f*ck the LAPD" and stuff like that? I always thought that was rather uncalled for.

i too thought it was rather uncalled for. these people put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve and this is how he treats them.

Maybe it was the Rodney King thing (Some black guy who got beaten senseless by the LAPD only for the officers to get acquited). Maybe that's why he was hostile. I'm not sure. I've heard it was a big thing in America what with the riots.

Most of them are racist and unjust against the black people.

I don't have my statistics in front of me, but I'm confident that the majority of police officers around the nation have never unjustly beaten down a black man...and I also think several bad apples don't spoil the whole police force.

Oh, screw it, what the hell am I thinking, with my rational thoughts and logic sh*t. f*ck the LAPD!

Really? Why do you think that is?

I don't want talk about race, but if they get to arrest a black man he gets double so much prison time than a normal men of theirs that have done a bigger crime would.

Do black people commit more crime than white people in America?

Because here in England we have a catch 22 situation. Black-on-black violence is growing, the police are desperate to stop it but if they implement stop-and-search tactics they are branded as racist. In fact, I believe those very tactics caused riots in the '80's. Segregation is the root cause of these problems.

2Pac was a great man, and the majority of people who hate are just that, haters. You can talk all you want about him not being a great rapper, and how his contradictive messages were confusing. But the fact of the matter is is that his legacy will outlast anything you try to throw at it (bogus rape charge included).

You probably misunderstood it, but nonetheless I wont go into details. Just ignore this discussion.

huh, funny this topic should pop up right now.

I'm just nearing the end of watching a video on youtube called 'Final 24' which goes through the events of the last 24 hours in Tupacs life.

Even though i know he dies at the end, i still keep hoping he wakes up sad.gif I didnt really know much the actual shooting before watching. Seeing those photos of him driving in the car taken by passers by moments before being shot is real disturbing sad.gif

From what I can see, he didn't.

Anyway, about 2Pac.

I was simply once listening to my playlist (I used to listen to only rap, but now I listen to rock and metal, though 2Pac still remains in my playlist) and 2Pac - Brenda's Got a Baby started up. I never really listened to lyrics of this song before, but this time I decided that I would and damn, this is one of the most deep and emotional songs I have ever heard.

This man is a goddamn poet and those people, who are talking sh*t about him probably haven't even heard his songs, or at least listened to his lyrics, because this is what makes 2Pac what he is, a legend.

Blind Joe Death

I used to listen to a lot of 2Pac back in the day, but that was when I listened to absolute crap and I haven't played a 2Pac track in a long time. Although that doesn't mean I hate his music, I think he's a decent rapper, but nowhere near as good as what people make him out to be.

Greatest ever? pfft, please.

I'm with Beanmachine 100% on this.

I wonder if, Tupac hadn't recorded 'Hit 'Em Up, that he he would have survived a lot longer than he did? I mean, the song pretty much hit on everyone and just ballooned the situation and his beefs with Biggie/P Diddy (Whatever he was called at the time)/anyone else he hated (Going off what I've read) As everyone kept saying that the song had gone way too far when it came to dissing, leading to tensions rising, angers flairing etc etc.

That's riding on the assumptions of lots of other factors leading up to his death, for one, that Biggie/Suge.anyone he hated even called the hit in the first place, or if it was just some random Crip/blood shooting by some no mark gang member under no particular command.

^That post is my just thinking aloud as i was reading the topic and saw the lists of songs, so there's no real point to it/real evidence/education tounge.gif

Made for one hell of an awesome song though

tupac was a man who took lots of risk he didnt care about anything, he even tried to fight the guy who put a gun on him the first time he got shot, he was lucky that he didnt die. and the dissing part.. well, it was a offending diss but thats what dissing is all about. it probably wouldnt have made any difference. that song lit the east/west coast war up but they wanted him dead even before hit em up came out.

i personally think p.diddy, suge and biggie worked together to kill pac, suge took him to that boxing fight and made him wear no bullet proof vest, and biggie and p.diddy ordered some gang member so kill tupac
