Are there PS3 achievements?

I've been playing for a while now and i haven't got any achievements. I've also been hearing about 360 achievements so i'm just wondering if there achievement for ps3 as well?

No, well not yet anyway. I think when Home is released there'll be a sort of trophy cabinet so achievements might be implemented then.

 

But there aren't any at the moment.

Maybe asking a bit of a noob question, but..

Does this mean I can cheat without worrying?

I will be creating a fun save game where I can cheat though anway unless it doesnt matter.

it might get something similar with home, but I will just feel like its a rip off of xbox and kinda lame.

 

also achievements are pointless... I mean this in every sense of the word....there is no point besides maybe your own self satisfaction, which I think should be obtainable without acievements.

At least our systems dont crash like Mircocrap. And we get a Blu-Ray play out of it... :-)

lolz "fanboy" i own all consoles, and i just dont like ps3

 

i played gta4 FIRST on ps3, and i gotta say, its WAY better on 360(like all multiplatform games)

Well unless you play professionally, then all video games are about is self satisfaction. Achievements aren't "pointless" if implemented correctly, they the add replayability to any game compared to the same game without them.
