[PSN] TURF WARS

Can't believe I've just found this! Turf War is one of the best GTA modes, but I haven't had one decent game, due to a bad crowd or no crowd at all. I'd like to try one of these sessions. I'll look this up and contact you later, doc.

How seriously are these things taken? My disallow chops aren't non existent, per say, but they have never been good.

We play for the fun of it so don't worry.

Also, team line ups are basically not fixed and sometimes open to random players.

 

Things were taken very seriously (maybe too much) back in the days when I organized the DTW Cup (link in my sig).

a tip for ajbns. turfs are usually guarded by stealthy ninjas so check everywhere.

i think i remember you being helpful in cnc?

Few crazy TW"s last night!!

 

If I dont count few pointless moments of lag ( as at attacks on me and reverse ) I had great fun last night!!

 

I still cant accept that I completely forgot you Doc on that roof in first TW I joined (Dukes) I saw where you are just for a second when you fired few rockets at me in chopp but you were hidden behind that treetop so when I landed on another close roof I tryed to kill one of Russians who tryed to gain turf but than I realized that you still need to be there..somewhere..I scope in your direction..one shoot..but you were faster!!

 

huh, I dont remember exacly, but there was few more "OG style" duels with many of you so...

i dont know if i was lagging or the host but i couldnt hit sh*t. iwas shooting one guy from my car . he disappeared then reappeared on the other side of the car and capped me. plus im not down with people who snipe you from a mile away when you try to take turf ...

There was some lag possibly cause we kept switching the host. Personally I didn't experience it.

 

As for sniping activity I'm sorry but that's part of the strategy when defending the turf. I know that you left right after I sniped you in a turf. I saw you looking around for defenders for a while and then I got you exactly when you were feeling safe.

Maybe you are not used to it but we've been playing like this for almost two years now and made of the search for the ultimate sniping spot almost an art. But at the same time the anti-sniping techniques also evolved: dancing on the turf while gaining it is one of the most effective of them. And looking for the snipers to snipe them or to catch them from behind off guard it's also something a lot of people does. I fact right after you left (few minutes after), deejayb1874 popped out behind me after going around the whole block just to take me out with his SMG, and gained the turf.

How did he do that? Well he read the match. After he realized u were killed in that turf with one shot he knew I was sniping from somewhere. And in that turf there are only a few vantage points from where you can snipe. He went fr the most obvious one and killed me.

My point is that when TW is played by veterans you are never safe and it can be annoying to be killed like that but it's also very challenging and amazingly rewarding when you get the defender or the evil sniper.

@TASO: first time I got you I waited for you to land on that roof and then aimed at your dot cause I couldn't see you through the trees. But the second time was awesome cause you were so far away in another turf and I thought it was an impossible shot. I was following your chopper and when you landed I could only see your dot and gave it a try. Got you.

 

Great matches. Especially the Bohan one that was very close till the end.

who was the guy called Tj some thing or other? me and him worked together pretty well,

 

robstar was a sneaky turf hider!!

 

The bohan match was good, I had fun with the turf near the water/multistory building. Anyhow feel free to add me as a friend - I'll mostly be playing CnC, but im always up for Turf war, Team Mafiya Wars or even just trying random stuff in freemode.

Yeah Doc, I'm starting to learn some of your sneaky snipey spots. Was awesome fun creeping up behind ya . I was gonna stab you just for tha lulz too.

 

From now on, if TJBCosmic (I think thats his name) is in the room with me, can everyone call me deej, cos dj and tj are reeaaaaallly similar sounding on the crappy PSN quality sound and I kept getting confused .

Guess who's back? been away from this bloody site for 5 long months,

You might have all noticed i been back on my old account LFC a lot on a thursday night and the early hours of the weekend, i can honestly say i have found the love for gta again, and with the dlc coming soon too things are going to get better for sure, ive had some great epic battle's with the old boys and some new people recently and i hope the rest will come back once again, you will see me a lot more on these t.w thursday, i have soo much fun again, lots of kicking ass again, the hype, wooo, yessy what i like most is recap's that riko do's here the piccy's, the guy who made this thread that brought a lot of friends together, and i still respect this man for doing such a good thing, still have good laugh's and battle's with this man to date.

 

we should spark this place up again don't you think?

my eyes were in blur mode... playing all days coz home for cold..

thursday is not a good day, maybe we cold switch for a weekend day, friday or saturday, and make some races on thursday instead... just an opinion...

Rob, did you flyed over that wall at that turf in Dukes when I fired rocket on you?? That was fun..you were hiding behind that sculpture and after I saw you I fired a rocket but I couldnt find you any more so I tought that may be that explosion threwed-throw..traw..boo, I dunno how to spell you out of there..so I was luck and I finnished you outside!
