It runs GTA around 60 fps (80 on good days) at 1280x1048 with AAx4 and Aniostophicx4 samples. I turned off frame limiter but turned on frame sync, and I constanly defrag and clean my hard drive. Believe me, if your a hard core gamer, get the ATI card. It gives lightning a run for it's money. And the Sound Blaster hooked up to my 400watt Logitech 4.1 speakers make the game what it was supposed to be. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
(CHEST)W-i-G Posted October 2, 2002 Share Posted October 2, 2002 My system specs are as follows, AMD XP 1600 (1.44GHz) 256mb DDR Geforce 2mx 400 64mb 40GB HDD 16x DVD Win98 SE 3DAnalyze Highfps 5 (with rain and rubbish turned off) I run game in 800 x 600 and i get a good smooth game it just lags abit when i get into a big pig fight or gang fight but driving is fine and fast. P.S If any one was wondering how come GTA Vice is coming out on PC (despite its PS2 "exclusiveness) it appears that the rule only counts with consoles (so no version for XBOX or Gamecube. AMD XP 1600 (1.44GHz) 256MB DDR Geforce 2 mx 400 64mb 40Gb Hdd Sound Blaster audigy 16x DVD win 98 SE I can get 35 upto 55 fps. Running game in 640x480. Im using Highfps3 GTA 3 Audio Update Version 1 and 3dAnalyze emulating hardware tnl. I have no stutter at all in my games even when theres 2 helicopters and sh*t loads of police fbi and army about and im just blowing everything up. One thing i have to say is way f*cking hey. If I used that 'no radio' tweak, lowered the res, found the ideal drivers and tweaked the settings a little I think I could easily get to a smooth 70fps+ game. I try to load them and an error windows comes up and it reads: "Gta3 has caused an error in Gta3.exe" and I have to close it and have to start a new game everytime. can anyone help me?? and also how can u tell how many fps the game is running?? I've got it set at 800x600 @ 32, with trails on. I also keep frame limiter on to keep the frame rate steady... I have yet to check my framerate, or push the settings enough to kill my pc.
