PS3: Poor framerate on 1080i, fine on 720p.

When I got the game I disabled the 720p setting on my PS3 to force it to run at 1080i. However, after playing most of the game like this I just tried running it at 720p again and the framerate is much better than at 1080, and I think the draw distance is higher. Things are slightly blurrier in the distance, but I think overall the improved framerate makes it more enjoyable to play.

 

Can anyone else confirm that at 720 the game seems much smoother than at 1080? Best to get a sports car or a helicopter to check as it's much easier to see the difference when travelling at speed. Alternatively, the difference is apparent when you see explosions too.

Yes i know, it looks much better in 720p.. but i only run it in 1080p because when i run it in 720p, the game is stuttering all the time..???? Do you have that problem to in 720p? Or am i the only one who go that problem? Will a new Disc help? I have the ps3 version btw..

I have a 720p hdtv

Ps3's set to 720 and man it gives a nice clear clean sharpe image.

I've seen a few 1080i's and its too blurry.

 

Guess I got luckey cheap can be better?
