Cavin
"WHATTHEYDONOTWANTYOUTOKNOW.COM" opens up more!! Theres a topic on this called "Reaching a new level of spirituality" (or sum'n like that),, this shows you where all the Window Cleaning Elevators are. So, just for the hell of it, I Way-pointed each one and went to find them. Some of these were used on missions as you may remember. AFTER finding each Elevator and Riding each to the top of their building, I went back to Playboys Safehouse and on to his Lap-Top on the Kitchen worktop ... went into "W'T'D'N'W'Y'T'K.com" , scrolled down and there were 2 NEW POSTS! Both of these give you the PHONE CODES to CHEAT !! Notes: I had 100% Completion on 2 Files for this to happen. the_regular_guy
I just gotta ask...i remember reading (way back) that there would be phone# scattered around the city that you could call and get little secrets (if i remember correctly, about the story/characters among other things) and small easter eggs. Has anyone found any numbers that actually work when you call them, or was it just some previewer who saw/heard what he wanted to see/hear and just assumed it was in the game when it really wasn't (just like the whole "we will be able to store weapons in a duffelbag" and "we can store weapons/bodies in the trunk of a car" bullsh*t that people made up after seeing a couple of screenshots...even though R* had said in a preview that you won't be able to store things in (or even open...it was confirmed, by R*, it was removed from the game) trunks)? SearchinForDoughnuts
Remember how the mafia casino in San Andreas was called Caligula's? and the bar where you meet Ray Bocino is called Drusilla's? Quick history lesson for everyone: Caligula was a Roman Ceasar who was a little nuts, threw massive orgies in the Imperial palace, made his horse a councilor, and was rumoured to have incestuous relationships with his sisters, one of which was named Drussilla. BAM! Was I the first person to notice this?
cyclonenl
The mission No Love Lost also refers to (several) musicians. The original song No Love Lost was made by Joy Division, and released on their An Ideal for Living album. The Rifles also made a album called No Love Lost. SandmanX
The mission you get from Packie - Four Leaf Clover - which you join him and his brothers in robbing the Bank of Liberty wearing suits and ski masks and subsequently leading to a massive shootout with the police is an obvious reference to the heist movie Heat starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino which also climaxes with a now-infamous shootout scene. The North Hollywood shootout (which occurred in IRL) was also inspired by the same movie. Edited December 9, 2008 by SandmanX
Isonis
During the mission Escuela of the Streets, Manny says he wants to be like "A rich guy who makes computers then kills aids". This is a reference to Bill Gates, as he made computers (Microsoft) and is now working to fight malaria.

hangnoose
Saw this on www.libertycitypolice.com there is a guy named Corrado, Anthony ( part of pegorino crime family who you see later in the story ) but his name might be a reference to the sopranos. the_regular_guy
KRAPEA (www.krapea.com) is a parody of IKEA. And the woman on that site could be a parody of how people from other countries sees Sweden, and particularly the swedish women (i'm talking about the fact that the woman on the site is showing her bra, and for some reason people from other countries seem to think that's something swedish women would do...undress anywhere, anytime and infront of anyone). That's obviously a parody of Tim Burton's "The Corpse Bride" musical.

Typhus
Not so much a secret but a refrence I noticed. Not sure if anyone else thinks so. But Jeff, the random character, is very similar to the character Martin Scorsese played in 1976's Taxi Driver. Both live in New York and both want to kill their wives for an alleged infidelity. If you can catch the scene I'm talking about you might notice this too. Oh, here it is: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6tiHTm6nBUw&feature=related Edited December 17, 2008 by Typhus
knorked
On one of the Radio shows, a host is giving a interview to a band and one of the Scottish members uses the term "Fan'dabi'dozi". This is a reference to the annoying Scottish Kids TV show The Krankies, who's catchphrase is"Fan'dabi'dozi"
