williman34
If you watch tv in any of the hideouts, there will be a commercial for a racing event. The race track used in the commercial is the Los Santos airport from San Andreas. Remember the runway is in a giant oval?
keithmii2
There are some pedestrians with Rockstar logos on the bottom of their shoes. uat2d
I found this on the corner of Jade St; it's Carmen! http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/1997/carmenonbillboarduo6.jpg that's not carmen, it's the russian girl "from russia without love" in lovemeet.net. however Carmen appears in the game and you don't need to be dating her. in the mission "Blow your Cover" she appears in the cutscene dancing with Elizabeta. i found Carmen again! in the mission "Hating the Haters" she is talking with some guy by the faggios next to the stairs. it isn't a cutscene so i suppose we can kill her without any negative impact... she wasn't my girlfriend at that time i also found out that she is in the LCPD database and she is described as a supposed "nymphomaniac"
TWIZTID1
Has anyone found a small key anywhere in the game? I was doing the mission where you have to kill the three managers of the Triangel strip club and as I was walking up to the front door, there was a woman (looked like a hooker) was standing at the corner of the building. As I walked by her I happened to press L1 (don't know why) and Niko bent over and picked up a small key off of the ground. After I picked it up there was a symbol at the top of my screen that looked like a hand holding a key. I don't know what its for or what to do with it, but after I picked it up I couldn't see it in any sort of inventory list, just the symbol displayed at the top of the screen. Any ideas as to what this is for? The only guess I can think of is that it might allow you to steal a parked car without breaking the window, but I didn't get a chance to try it. It disappeared somehow and I'm going to see if I can get it back.

completeidiot23
IMHO I think that the Beating Heart is the only true easter egg. The rest are references, parodies, and other stuff.
gamesguru
^Saying that sentence sarcastically simply doesn't work; unless you have mis-used the 'sarcastic' emoticon.
completeidiot23
I did miss-used it. It just a emoticon of a yellow dude looking into the air, like hes thinking, not being sarcastic.
glenster
I'm easy to get along with about defining Easter Eggs and considering references separately. P.1 establishes "secrets" for the purpose of this section as including references (movie, etc., titles referred to with puns, or bits of movie dialogue quoted or such), broadening the category beyond Easter Eggs to simplify the posting of a variety of related concerns. G.J.V.
There's one thing I noticed yesterday which isn't on the list here that would probably come under real-life references. I found a sign near a jetty that said "No wading, no swimming, no speedos" I'll try to find get a pic of it tomorrow.
Typhus
Question, in the second Eddie Low mission, if you disarm him and he runs away it says that: Eddie Low is still out there...waiting. Does this have any effect on the game or is it simply a statement that you have failed the mission?

BTW thats the Bohan Strip club, one sign of it infront on the walla before you enter and one inside the private room. Also in Bohan there is an Avenue called Coxsack Ave Lol. attybrian
If you go the park where you encountered the drunk Mcreary brother on the bench, there is another baby stroller near the basketball court.
TinCan
If you go the park where you encountered the drunk Mcreary brother on the bench, there is another baby stroller near the basketball court. I have found two more as well, behind the projects by the Plumbers Skyway onramp in South Alderney. And something I haven't seen mentioned: The clocktower sign says clocktower when illuminated, and a sign in outlook says orileys pub when illuminated. AntiPersonnel
SQUID ROW how is this a reference to Saints Row? that makes no sense it is a parody of the term SKID ROW, in reference to either 'waiting for the death penalty' or the crack alleys in the ghetto. either context works with Squid Row, budget seafood. i really dont see how anyone sees a parallel between saints row and budget seafood.
