GTA IV Secrets and Easter Eggs

Heres one that is certain for sure:

 

HEAT movie Reference

 

For those that don't know, HEAT is a movie starring DiNero and Pacino. it was made in early 1990's. Its quite good.

In one scene DiNero and his crew rob a bank.

The scene when they rob the bank closely resembles when Packie and Niko go to rob the bank. The outfits are the same: Suits with skimasks. They carry out the money in Blue Duffle bags on their backs. From there there is a huge police shootout.

 

Looks like the dev. like some pretty good movies.

Naa too much coding it cost R* over 150m to make ad lest they get a 1b profit lucky bastards.

May be not, in GTA SA, there was a cabin which was a Moai Statue only from distance due to the low level of details.

Moai statues are the big faces on Easter Island for those who didn't know

A reference is NOT an Easter Egg. There are only a handful of actual Eggs in the game (thus far). Beating Heart is the only true confirmed. The Happiness shirt....meh..maybe. The purple dildo's....possibly. A bunch of pictures of past GTA people or name scribbles..nah. Thats called an Homage or paying respect to past characters. NOT an Easter Egg!

 

As far as references go....thats all they are...nothing more...nothing less.

 

Everything else is either a R* creation, a spoof or a knock-off of a real world brand. NOT and easter egg.

 

Should this thread be locked...NO

 

Should this thread be weeded through for all the BS and duplicate posts.. HELL YEA!!

Wrong. Most of the posts here are NOT easter eggs AT ALL. Jokes Rockstar put into the game such as TV shows, store/brand names do not constitute eggs. Just because YOU finally noticed them does not mean they are hidden. The topic is SECRETS & EASTER EGGS. Obvious jokes are just that, jokes.

The Heart Of the City thing is an Egg. Graffiti that you see within the first 15 minutes of playing(and is everywhere) is NOT.

*ahem* there is atleast otwo other easter eggs to the ones you mention the stroller beside the burnt car,and the alien in the lake (shape of the lake)

 

EDIT:didn't bother to read all eleven pages and it seems somone found the stroller but heres a possible explanation:the parents came down killed the kid put him/her in the car set the car alight then left.Perhaps this was a cover by rockstar that all the children are now afraid to leave their houses?(we all know the real reason is the kid killing factor)

also if you go into most safe houses (during multiplayer) or it might be only playboy x's then you can see the TV just about to start multiplayer on GTA IV.

Derriere is a brand that sells ornaments for thongs as we can judge by the Ad in Star Junction. Apart from the logo which is clearly an ass, "Derriere" means "Bottom" in French. Just wanted to share that

 

Many of the cars' brands are based on sexual shapes, but the only one with a reference is Pegassi, which is a fetched version of "Goatse". If you know Gaotse, you'll see what I mean, for the others, do a Google search, pic can't be posted here ^^

if you go back to the roof in mission were you had to shoot the guy threw the window after calling his phone to get a beter view of him. if you go back there and land on the fire escape and look threw the window you can see a crowbar just like the one in halflife and i think there was one in SA. so it could be a refrence to halflife again.
