58% story line complete, then...

I had just completed the gta 4 story line at 58%, I have only used the autosave option trough out the whole game. I started a new game so my friend could try from scratch and then he accidentally overwrites my autosave file with his new game save ;( Why the crap doesnt it just save on a new autosave file instead of overwriting my old ones? Is this a bug?

 

Is my only option to spend another 20-30 hrs of playing to reach 58%? Is it possible for me to ask anyone for the save file from anyone with the story line just completed? All my other friends have 360, so my only hope would be anyone out here Another option is to get to 58% with cheats then continue with none cheats hehe, but is it gonna have any impacts on completing the game 100% ?

If you made more than one save, then you can go back to that save and star playing through again from there.

If your too far behind on your last save, then I don't see why you never save in the safehouse...I always save after an autosave when im finished playing the game for the day.

 

You should've saved yur game on a real save before you let him play.

thats a real pain for you. thers no way of gettin it back if u didnt save in ur safehouse.

lol only saved at the safehouse at 13%, guess I´ll have to start from there ;p From now on I´ll be sure to save at the safehouse every now and then!

The autosave works as a temp save thing. Its always thier when you boot up the game but gets written over if a new autosave is saved. Remeber kids, always save as a save house have that save set in stone, the auto save is their just in case: Console freezes after you have done a few missions, power cuts out or you forget to save at a save house.
