Displays no longer :(

I've been happily playing gta on my 22" wide screen dell monitor, using a HDMI to DVI cable (im using xbox 360 elite if that makes any difference)

 

Its a brand new cable and has been working fine the entire time i've had GTA.

 

i regulary switch my monitor cable over so that i can access the pc (like right now for example)

Now all of a sudden when i try to play my 360 on the monitor it doesnt display Atall, it just switchs to power saving mode, (strange thing is it still briefly recognises a digital cable has been plugged in before immediatly switching to power saving) i've tried and tested everything i can think of, i've even tried using the controller code to reset the resolution, but It still seems to stay in Power Saving mode. but the second i switch over to my PC, it displays perfectly fine (otherwise i wouldnt be writing this )

 

i've tested the hardware and personally i've narrowed it down the the cable.

anybody have any suggestions?

Bump, anyone have a solution? otherwise it looks like im gona have to replace the cable as i've no others to test it with.

you should try calling dell support of xbox support bud...they will be a lot more helpful than waiting around for an answer on these forums
