I'm not sure whether to trust that article, since there's been no word from other sources. Give Sony a call if you really want to find out, and have an hour of your time free. A firmware upgrade will be needed for that. Does that sound right? They informed me that a patch is due out today which should resolve most if not all of the multiplayer issues with the game. They also said it SHOULD help alleviate some of the peculiar freezing problems experienced on some consoles. So, yes, at least they intend to fix it. This is encouraging. I haven't connected or much less used the internet, online, multiplayer whatever feature so it's not just an online thing and I certainly hope that Rockstar doesn't just stop there. I have yet to buy a Cat 5 cable to connect but maybe I'll now have to. I have PS3 80 gig and I've gone through the 12 steps of kicking off alcohol ... I mean, the 12 steps for the PS3. At first it seemed to work and then it tanked in about 10 minutes. I'm pretty sure doing all the hard power downs isn't good. Also I'm a noob so where can I find on PS3 what firmware I have so I can call rockstar with the info. Thanks. And I've seen people with similar freezing on the newer 60GB and 40GB models too.
