phone conversations only in stereo

Hi guys,

 

Got a weird one here, I get my sound from a amplifer (5.1 dp) connected by fibre to PS3, wehn i choose either of the surround opotions (side and rear)in GTA I get full surround, but i cant hear any phone conversations, i can hear television, if i move around in a circle the general sound comes through all my speakers.

 

If i change options to Stereo i get the phone conversations, but obviosuly then whole game is in Stereo.

 

Any help would be much aprreciated

just to add to this it was working fine earlier, then i was in the middle of a mission and the voice became really low, then next thing i knew there was no voice at all. I this might be realted to the surround sound post

 

Just realized that i hadnet heard the GPS for a long time, now i hear it again when i put in game to stereo

 

This does not seem, to be a general problem i have found one more post detrailing same thing on ps3forums

i take it no one else has had this problem ?

 

If theres noone else with this problem who cares if its fixed except me?

 

Dam I think i will buy this game on 360.

I have a similar but kind of opposite problem, which I posted under the surround sound topic. I get no sound coming from my rear speakers no matter what I set the audio options to. I could've sworn I did get a full 5.1 signal when I was playing originally, but now it's just stereo. And I'm using the same optical cable from my 360 to my receiver that I always have, and works fine for 5.1 in any other game.

seems like patch fixed this problem everything is bacjk to normal my middle speaker in 5.1 isno working again
