freeze bug - hang out to dry

Hello there, I have found a freezing bug that apparently I'm not alone in. I have this for xbox 360 -

This issue has happened to me a couple of different ways: 1) after I talk to Vlad, in the transition from that to the mission it sticks on the "loading" screen. 2) when I failed the mission and chose to replay it, it was stuck on the "Loading" screen.

 

When will there be a patch for this bug? If there is no patch, how can I go about getting an exchange or refund? I just got the game this past Saturday but I don't believe I have the receipt of the purchase.

 

any help would be appreciated.

Yep, just ran into the problem after a

 

MINOR SPOILER AHEAD

 

dwayne mission.

 

 

EDIT:

 

Just read on a gamespot forum from somone who called rockstar. They said the 360 version shipped out with a few lines of missing code... don't know if it's true but a patch is coming.

 

I MISS GTA IV.

if i dont wanna wait, what's the possibility of getting an exchange at gamestop? i dont have the receipt, but i used a credit card and they should have it on file. i just bought this game on saturday.

somehow, it just worked and didnt freeze this time. dont know how and who cares!
