Can't Save Game?

I have auto save on.. my saved game shows up when I load.. but when i'm trying to save it in my safehouse, my game doesn't show up?? if i save it on another file, i know it will freeze, because having 2 saved games makes my load ups freeze.. does that mean i'd have to do complete a mission everytime I want to save my game?

When I put my character to bed Xbox allows me to pull up my card and even confirms I will be overwriting current game save, when I reload later any new content is not there. Only seems to be weapons and armor, my car is still there and my pigeons are still dead.

but when i put my character to sleep... it won't let me overwrite my game because my saved game doesn't show up in the list.. shows up when i load the game though.. really weird

Your memory card might be bad, you may want to try buying a new one-they are cheap now a days, less than $20 in most cases. Also, you mentioned something about "an auto save" feature, and GTA's don't have auto save, but if it's something new for GTA 4, try turning it OFF, and only save games manually and see if that works.- save at your Portland (the first one you're given) safe house and try loading to see if it works. Hope this helps.

Thier is no saved game listed on the SAVE list if you havent saved. Yes it auto saves what is last played but make sure u Perma-Save in the list. Just select the first slot. Cause if if you look at the bottom of the save list you'll see the autosaved file.

 

If you play Gears its the same. It auto saves at certain points. But if you replay an eariler section it will auto save over your old save.
