Is your PS3 freezing with GTAIV?

Another something PS3 users can try to get a smoother GTAIV experience, while the devs work on that patch for us.

 

A few people online have reported unplugging your second Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 controller from the USB port (ie: charging it) does help with the freezing problems of GTAIV. I was really, really skeptical about it so I asked a few friends who had PS3s. Out of the five, three of them (who had 60GB launch models) had MUCH less crashing. The other two had 40GB models.

 

Hey, farfetched but its definitely worth a try. You can always charge the controllers via a PC USB port.
