please help me

Recommended Posts

ok so I have GTA4 on the 360 and I'm playing it on a LG 720p HDtv and here's my quarry

during the day the shadows and textures on the buildings seem "fuzzy" or "blurry" and the textures on the buildings even flicker a little, but at night it looks clear

this has been driving me crazy because when you look at screens or vids of the game on websites such as IGN it looks allot better and I've yet to find mention of it on any gaming blogs

so I ask, is something wrong here? is it supposed to look that way? and if so does it look better on the PS3? I bought the 360 version because of the future downloadable content and so I could play with my friends on Xbox live, but this is putting a damper on my enjoyment of the otherwise excellent GTA4

thank you

EDIT: I guess a good way to describe it is it makes liberty city look like a "painting"

Yes, this was done intentionally by R*. many people call it "The Bob Ross Filter" I believe there is a way to disable the Flicker filter. But this was done (I am assuming) to keep frame rates up.

think they'll maybe release a patch?

I remember back in the day Vice City had some "blur" thing or something and you could turn that off
