dezoris
I have tried calling customer service on the Rockstar end for 2 days and keep getting the message they are having high volume of calls try back later. They released a game that is broken. It advertises online play, I can't play online or single player without disabling network support on the PS3. There has been no official word if they are working on a fix, and I can't even get a hold of them to open a support request. With that said I don't really care about GTAIV all that much, but I can't return the game for a refund at the store because it is open. So whats the process for getting my money back from Rockstar? They can't even release updates on the issue on their own support forums which is just half ass customer service. (Del)
There has been official word, I don't have the link but I read it on playstation.coms forums. The fix will be shortly, they didnt give a time.. (which makes this info almost useless) but they said a fix is in progress.. Im in the same situation as you, I have played GTA for under 10 minutes on the day of release, and then closed it since waiting for a fix. All we can do is wait.. blackdisney
i tried all this week calling Rockstar..im sure if they had any sense they would be working on the weekend to fix that problem ASAP. Im sure people will still buy the game but im sure its some thats hesitating to make sure they get the problem solved before the purchase. I already go the game..so hopefully..they'll either give a refund of exchange for a new one or give Sony a download or some patch to fix this. thebritishbulldog
No online play = faulty. If the product you bought is faulty, then you can return it to the retailer for a refund, regardless of the packaging. That is statutory law in most countires. Return it and demand your money back. And don't let the store tell you that its T2/Rockstars problem so you have to contact them. The retailer has the responsibility to you and they can claim back from Rockstar. IF I am to be a game tester for R*... I want to be paid. igotspie
... "Features and offerings for the PLAYSTATION Network may change without notice." ... right off the back of the GTAIV box. You are not guaranteed multiplayer by paying $60 in this case but a copy of the game. Since its not the copy of the game that is faulty then they have the right to not give you a refund.
