easyvibe
if they had gotten the driving like that and got rid of that stupid reversed camera (when your looking at the car from the front left turn becomes right on the analog) and spent a bit more time and tweaked the driving that it would have been much more fun ,and before you say the driving's realistic that utter bullcrap having to slow right down for a corner ,that in real life you could use the handbrake while counter steering or powering the acclerater to make the corner ,but hey rockstar ain't bother they had my 45.00 pounds for the game
AZAZEL
The driving just takes a little practice, that's all. It's different, but it's not impossible to do drifts or handbrake turns. You can't go as fast around corners as before, but neither can your opponents - be it people online or the police.
Swiechu
The new driving system is just perfect for me now, it's bringing a lot of fun to GTA.
DaddyGraybeard
I dont know Azazel I think once you get the hang of it you can fly around corners. I wasnt good at it at ALL when I first got the game BUT, now that I have driven for a while I am Drifting Corners with NO problems. The thing is Each car is REALLY different from the next. Just get used to each one and how it handles and you should have NO problems turning those sharp turns at full speed. I do it like this mostly though *Brake*, let off brake *HandBrake*,let off handbrake then *Brake and Gas at the Same Time * turns like a Champ. Another thing is just like the Free Aim when using a gun it helps to only keep the right trigger half depressed for a bit around turns Keeps you speed pretty steady. Mr. Someguy
I love the new driving mechanics. The cars actually feel like real cars now, instead of magnets that ahang onto the roads.
caladina
the driving is of course not like it was in the last gta,its much more realistic, which is the direction R* have gone you try taking a real bog standard saloon car 70 mph into a right hander and see what happens lol i'm a toca race driver fan and i've gotten used to the driving now, with the non performance cars in LC you gotta "weight" them up befor the corners if you wanna take them quick a racing trick where as you shift the weight of the car onto the outside so it's more stable and predictable it works well...................................till a cab comes around the corner at least all the cars handle differently so you can pick one that you get on with
Tonka1822
The fact that the driving takes time to master only serves to provide you with true satisfaction when you finally nail that drift corner or reverse 180.
Alcoholica86
The muscle cars are best for drifting or to me they are. They really pack a punch.
K^2
in real life you could use the handbrake while counter steering or powering the acclerater to make the corner Which you can do in GTA IV. It's not easy, but neither is it in real life. It takes practice and understanding of how the vehicle reacts with the road during such a slide.
