The US has some of the most violent f*cked up cities; thus they are needed for a violent f*cked up game. My top 5 would be 1. DC 2. Atlanta 3. Baltimore (Some serious sh*t goes down here, plus nice inner harbor ) 4. Boston (I hate Boston, thus i would enjoy destroying it) 5. How much do do most people really know about St. Louis or Cleveland for example. Could anyone on here who isn't a native in either be able to pick them out from each other? I don't think so. Nothing against cities outside of the US, but I don't think they would do it, because I would imagine the majority of the players are in North America and the whole driving on the right side of the road thing. I personally would hate having to switch sides of the road. You actually drive on the 'right' side of the road? Screw that, real men drive into oncoming traffic I drive on the left side of the road...the shoulder...the sidewalk...the wrong way down one way streets...rarely will you find me caring about which side of the road I'm on. Honestly...I don't think many people care about that. I live in the western burbs of Chciago...and honestly...I don't think it would be dramatically different from Liberty City. It would be nice to see but I'd rather see a narrow street infested European Town for the next one. Perhaps a London/Dublin/Edinburgh/Paris combo? (make suggestions if you don't like the cities, it's just an idea) Really what I see them doing next is the downloadable cities thing (think next year...beyond any short term dlc releases, including the 360 exclusives)....cities as expansions on GTA IV. Enabling the option to travel the world...giving the rather useless airport in GTA IV a meaning...create the real world in the GTA universe. An MMO with that is also possible. GTA IV was really the first time politics entered the GTA universe. Think about what could be done in DC... driverocks Posted May 5, 2008 Share Posted May 5, 2008 I live in Hunt valley in Baltimore, and Baltimore would be plenty big enough for a gta game, you have the inner harbor, Cherry Hill, West Port, Cromwell, South Linthicum and North, Little Italy, The Baltimore Highlands, my stomping grounds Hunt Valley, and Towson, and a few other densly populated towns. Niko could then return after the conclusion of grand theft auto IV, traveling around the world uncovering clues as to the whereabouts of the other. Locations could include sections of a few major global world cities and lots of smaller satellite towns and villages on his way. he finds both of them in Liberty. There that is Chicago's greatest achievement the Bulls. If you are from Chicago don't take offense I'm not saying your city sucks ass, I'm just saying it would be boring as hell to place a whole game around it. Rockstar already tapped out american cities. I'd like to see either a European Setting: The U.K. and Ireland or Tokyo. It would be even cooler if half of the game took place in UK or Japan then, due to story, the character could go over to the US...maybe even Chicago for the second half. I would like a Tokyo one the most though. A really fresh character would be nice. Imagine this guy with normal hair and a nice suit as the main character. Bad ass, I'd say. They have two big alliances that involve many gangs in each alliance called "People Nation" and "Folk Nation". I live about 30 min. east of Green Bay so I would like to see a mix of Chicago and probably Milwaukee. I must've missed Shaq's short stay here with the Bulls. I remember a player named Michael Jeffery Jordan that won 6 championships here but I guess he ain't important. Anyway, we have the Sears Tower, the EL trains and some historical landmark called WRIGLEY FIELD! On top of that Chicago is a hell of a lot cleaner than NY imo. I personally would hate having to switch sides of the road. So just because you'd be on the other side of the road you wouldn't like to be outside the states you seem to be very simple minded.. No, it's just natural. Look at what happens when you get tourists here. I cannot count how many tourists tried to drive on the wrong side of the road. It would be chaotic. Besides, I don't like European streets anyway. I've been to London and any car chase would either be in bumper-to-bumper traffic or, if you want to get up to speeds faster than forty miles per hour without dodging cars, looking like 28 Days Later. Like Saints Row didn't copy ANYTHING from R*? They took the load from R* and the GTA franchise I think it's only fair if Saints Row gave back a little ^^ But then again, i would like the next gta to be set in London. A bit more like "Green Street Hooligans" would be awesome Not so fond of the London gta games... it's the whole...driving in the wrong side of the road that mess it up.. Even New York is filled by LA and Chicago gangs. So some of yall are exposing yourselves for not having any ideal of the gang situation in the US. It seems like some of yall foreigners care more about familiarity than true city crime. Youd rather play in NYC, a safer city than Chicago or some of these other places just as long as you can recognize some of the places. Thats corny to me. Go to those cities and mostly what you'll hear on local news probably is somebody getting their @$$es capped by a gang or freak accidents from gangs doing high-speed street racing. Also, no one has mentioned that the Sierrs Tower will make a great base jump. And since Chicago is big into St. Patrick's day it would be cool to see Irish gangs (not sure if there are any in Chicago but still Chicago has probably thousands of gangs). Also, it would be cool to choose whether to be in a gang in the People's Nation or a gang in the Folk's Nation. Huge gang wars right there I say. BUT I think the other cities were beautiful metropolises with a crime under world like Miami. Miami is like a vacation heaven for old people and tourists, but its also a a big drug capital. Its very flat and has dose not have the huge rivers that seperate areas of the city Like NYC dose. 2. Besideds the sears tower and other large buildings there isent much distinguishing chicago apart from other citys. 3. the story would probaly revolv around gangs much like the missions in GTA:SA With gang territories and stuff. Im personaly not a fan of that kinda stuff. I cant stand those black gangs theres no respect or structure in them. And it was the worst part of GTA:SA los santos Now If I could pick any city in th Us to chose from it would most likley be a combination of Las Vegas and a city in california LA most likely altho I did like San fransico. But definatly Las Vegas again because they can do a much better job with the more powerfull gaming program. The city could be beautifull while still containing a lot to do. The desert can be more interesting than it was in SA. for instance you can bury bodies in them after exicuting people. NYC has been done. Miami has been taken care of. No Midwest love yet so it would only make sense for Chicago to be the next city. I would love to be able to have a shootout on Navy Pier, inside soldier field or maybe along the Chicago River. There would be so much to do, people just don't realize it because they have never been to the city. Chicago is also very multi-cultural and it has the 2nd best skyline next to NYC (We all know about the Sears Tower but has nobody heard of the John Hancock?). No other city in the country even compares. [email protected] all you Chicago haters. Chicago has everything that you would need to make a awesome GTA.
