cmh
I'm not saying it has to be the only city, and yes it's similiar to NYC, but I would love this city in the game. Discuss.
Jimmy_Price
Agreed! R* Needs to show the midwest some love in the next GTA. Maybe even add in the Mil as an area of the map.
JohnnyRodz
Only thing about Chicago is that they'd have to set it back in the Chicago of the Al Capone days.
xxtremeguyxx2001
Yeah, Chicago would be awesome, except this time Rockstar should focus on gangs and crime, I wanna feel scared when I walk through certain neighborhoods. Gangs and thugs should be hanging out and walking the streets at night. You should see people getting shot, mugged, beaten up, even random drivebys would be great. Rockstar should expand on making a living breathing City. GTA4 just doesn't truly feel like a living breathing City. I mean come on the only crime you see when walking through the firefly project is a police officer chasing some guy and half the time the guy escapes which is extremely unrealistic, What happened to the police chases like in San Andreas? I wanna see gangs being arrested, sirens and police cars driving by, drug dealers, robberies, etc.
RATEDR307
But then R* would sort of be copying Saints Row because Stillwater is based on Chicago and Detroit.
Haggan
But then R* would sort of be copying Saints Row because Stillwater is based on Chicago and Detroit. Hahahaha! Like Saints Row didn't copy ANYTHING from R*? They took the load from R* and the GTA franchise I think it's only fair if Saints Row gave back a little ^^ But then again, i would like the next gta to be set in London. A bit more like "Green Street Hooligans" would be awesome

NJSpeedbeast
Personally, I'd like to see them do an Irish Mob/Italian Mafia type thing. Boston and Providence could be the two islands. I'd love to see them do Boston. I can already see a bunch of various Irish mob missions, and them doing a parody of the ruthless Red Sox fans. haha

NeonHandshake
Hey! I think it should be based on [insert home town here], cos it's totally sick round here! Last week, I saw five dudes rob this guy just cos they thought he was dissing them. True story. It'd be a dope GTA. [hometown] totally rocks! If everyone just wants to copy and paste that, we'd save a lot of time.

cebayne
No thanks.... DC has so many more possibilities!! That's what I was thinking. Washington D.C. would be a good place... Itd be really cool cause I live 20 minutes from DC. Chicago would be sweet too. I just want another one!

cebayne
Why not somewhere other than the US? London would be a good candidate. Nothing against cities outside of the US, but I don't think they would do it, because I would imagine the majority of the players are in North America and the whole driving on the right side of the road thing. I personally would hate having to switch sides of the road.

Guanxi
In the beginning of the game Niko says that part of his rational for moving to liberty city was to find one of the two men who betrayed him and his unit currently residing in Liberty City (No spoilers please). Niko could then return after the conclusion of grand theft auto IV, traveling around the world uncovering clues as to the whereabouts of the other. Locations could include sections of a few major global world cities and lots of smaller satellite towns and villages on his way.

On the subject of "Green Street Hooligans" for a much more accurate depiction of British Football Violence try "The Football Factory": its much closer to what real hooligans are like with actual london accents and it's a better film. draard999
i would personally love chicago because most of my family grew up either in chicago or lockport which is a suburb of chicago. and i've been to the top of sears tower. don't know what that has to do with anything, but it was cool lol. There are other countries and different ways of doing stuff outside america. Australia drive on the right side so do Japan and India. If they do a GTA london dont buy the game skip and wait for the sequel which might be back in America (chicago hopefully).

GTA already has a fan base and would sell regardless. Plus its helps American youth see other another side of the world beyond their doorstep. Majority of the players are young and think the world belongs to America.
