DL Content

So far I have been taking my time with GTA IV and I'm about 23.86% done. When the story is over I look forward to getting the DL Content for the Xbox 360. Anyone know if missions will be included in the content because I'm looking forward to that more than anything because this is so far the shortest GTA I ever played, I need some more missions . Also, have you heard anything else that may be included in the DL content, I wouldn't know, I haven't read about it at all really.

I hope for extra cars, helicopters and a few touch-ups on the existing maps, (e.g, more interiors, 102nd floor observatory on Rotterdam Tower, SoH crown/torch access.)

i've got to admit san andreas was mentioned a number of times, i.e san fierro and las venturas

The 50 mil bought WAY more than episodic DLC. Episodic DLC is a cover up.

Since no one really has any idea what it'll be other than some missions, heres a wishlist:

 

1. Car Modification shops

2. EVEN more multiplayer character options

3. New multiplayer games:

 

- Drug Dealer game -

 

Your team buys up a property and sets up drug factory and try to outsell other teams. One part of the team protects the factory from sabotage, which is strongly suggested, while the other part drives about trying to get to certain markers [citizens or whatnot] before the other team. If your factory gets blown up you're going to be out of business for a while.

yh its does lol, roman tells you too order more taxis by phone because hes sick of all the old woman from vice city ordering them for the airport, i have no idea why the crazy old woman would do that but roman does metion vice city.

Well, we are guaranteed to have 10 hours of story for each DLC, 20 hours all together, at the least. We should also expect to have a few things fixed/improved/added too. I know for a fact R* looks at these forums, so if you want something, speak up.

I think for DLC a whole new city is asking for a bit much. More likely a new island or just a continuation of the story.

I wouldn't get all excited about this. Hope for 2 episodes, nothing more. Lets think back to all the GTA IV hype. People were so exicted about everything that had and hadn't been promised, but all the things that didn't make it into the game made it OMG SUXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!!!!!!111!!1!!!

The budgett for the whole game was around 100 million .

The whole game... like everything in it from what they developed to everything they licensed (like euphoria).

I believe there must be something else involved in this deal .

1. More Interiors, Restaraunts, Stores etc

2. The option to buy safehouses

3. A new island or if its possible then a new city like Boston or something like that

4. New weapons (MP5, chainsaw, silenced pistol)

5. More clothes options

6. More gangs

7. New Missions

 

Many people are like "How the hell can you expect Rockstar to make a brand new city? They just finished making the main game!" Obviously Rockstar has been working on the DLC for some time now, they've probably been working on it since sometime in 2007.

i want more things to spend money on aswell such as car customisation perhaps or something....because u end up with way to much money, what the hell can i spend 500 grand on, it dusnt make it seem like rags to better rags cause having 500 grand cash is rich...

Just missions and new characters/cutscenes. That's it.

 

50 million is because R* needed a killer app after Halo 3. They got stung with the GTA 3 trilogy and they got wise. Exclusivity is everything these days when a lot of games are going multi-platform, so there's no real choice, other than a selection of games. The 50 million, in essence, GUARANTEES that those who are left to choose a 360 or PS3 and want GTA IV are more likely to pick up the 360.

 

Sony probably had their PS3+ GTA IV plan in the pipeline for a while, which would generate some sales. However, Microsoft aren't stupid and payed a lot of money for that all important "exclusively on Xbox" label and I salute them.

 

I'd like to point out that I have a PS3, so there's no real fanboyism here.
