And you can't say R* promised anything. What they intended to say was probably hugely distorted every time it passed onto a new source, so by the time you heard it, it was no where near the original statement. I think a lot of people miss the wood for the trees here. This game is vastly different from SA in the way it's played. You lose some replay value by taking out certain features like property and the RPG-ish aspects, but you gain replay value from new features like Euphoria, a great story that has different endings, an overall real city, and not to mention multiplayer. You can rationalize taking things out all you want and to me it's fine if R* wanted to take stuff out because they didnt' jive with the vibe or whatever, but the problem is, they didn't really replace them with anything. Oh, sure, the graphics and rag-doll physics are nice, much better than SA, but that's about it. Other than little details you see once in a blue moon, there's not much more going for this game over SA. Are you saying the story for SA wasn't good? I thought it was. CJ and CRASH were awesome IMHO. I'm not playing the game for the story, if I want a great story, I'll read a book. A good story is a bonus, but not the primary reason I'm playing/replaying. As for multiplayer, I was an idiot and bought a 360 not realizing that you had to pay monthy fees for the priveledge of playing online, and that pisses me off... oh well. Every day I come to these forums I find out another feature that was cut from GTA4. It's amazing that Rockstar removed that many features, even San andreas had way more features. I was greatly disappointed that they removed the ability to listen to the radio using your cellphone. Remember it the little things that count and if all the fun features are removed from the game it just becomes dull and boring.What happened to the ability to open trunks? or how about taking photos and sending them to your friends? You can't tell me that the storyline is the only thing that makes the game great. Other then the better graphics which have been destroyed by the blur in the background the game just gets boring. I mean how many times are you going to play bowling with Roman? After you beat the storyline there's not much else to do, it feels boring which kills the replay value of the game. I don't know what this fingerless glove thing is all about, but why is everyone so upset about it? Were you planning on role-playing as a hobo? The point is, they took out a lot of clothing too. IMO the pool in GTA4 is much much worse then San Andreas. I was played pool in San Andreas for hours and it was very enjoyable but in GTA4 I played for 10 minues and got bored. First off the physics are horrible, half the time the ball never goes in and the view is horrendeous, half the time I can't even tell the balls apart.
