Ricksta
Damn it! The reason for a start-timer on multiplayer is so the game starts automatically but if the host is away the game won't start!!!! This problem was on Motorstorm but then they fixed it with a update, I hope rockstar do the same thing. Also, it would be nice if when the host leaves, who ever won the last game gets 'host' position, then its more likely the game will get started quicker. Mike12888
I know what you mean, 40% of the game i go into don't start. Very good idea.
wickedmental
yea i hear ya man, there should be like other games with a map vote where the most voted wins and also a countdown timer of 1 minute...
Mike12888
There is the suggesting option, you may go to your phone during an online match and suggest a game mode for the next one. But it's next to nothing.
Fenro
i think the hosters arent to be blamed, they just might have timed out.

sonicblaze
happened to me on my first game a nice full list of players ready to go and the host pissed off to do something else
atheistsw
Well, I always host games cuz I ALWAYS get problems joining random games, I like to wait for at least 10 people to join the room (in deathmatch) and it pisses me off how impatient some people can be, I was playing the other day and a guy was swearing at me too start the game, there were only 5 of us in the damn room! The biggest problem with PSN online is that it takes AGEs for rooms to fill, mainly due to the lack of a lobby select option. Sometimes I can sit there and it'll keep fluctuating between 3-6 players as they come and go, but I don't see the point of playing GTA online unless you have nearly the max amount of players, I hope R* implements a lobby system of some kind so things get spread out more evenly. Oh, and they should add a text chat function in the lobby too, so you can leave messages of intent *(i.e. waiting for full room etc) then people may stick around a little longer if they know whats going on. Suspense304
^ Or you could buy a mic.. I don't see the point of playing an online game without a mic... The whole point to me is interaction with people that I can't sit next to and play with... If they sort out the problems with the server I'm sure the rooms would fill quicker. Host your own game, make your own rules, start when you want, however I do think it needs a timer like COD4.
joec1987
you have got a point there bro that is annoying.n i also hate auto aim and the hosts who put the time on 10mins.u dnt get enough time man!!!!! and then people who put weapons on all!!!! why not start with standard or powerful. that way u miss out that sh*tty pistol u get at the start and then with the standard option u get a nice pistol n the powerful option u get a smg! its annoying! other than that its awesome m.p! bluescouser
ITS BECAUSE YOU ALL f*ckIN START WITH ABOUT 4-6 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH FOR 16. PEOPLE HAVE ATTENTION SPANS OF FUCOKIN NANO SECONDS, JUST f*ckIN WAIT AND INVITE PEOPLE. I HAVE HAD IT A WEEK AND NEVER PLAYED IN A FULL GAME BECAUSE PEOPLE START TO f*ckIN QUICK. COPS N CROOKS WOULD BE MUCH EASIER IF THERE WAS 8 CROOKS TO START WITH INSTEAD OF 3 LIKE MOST TIMES.

The whole point to me is interaction with people that I can't sit next to and play with... I HAVE got a mic, but the problem is the voice chat on PS3 is pretty crap compared to the dedicated headsets and service you get on XBOX-Live, and most people don't have a mic anyway. So, if I have a mic the only way people can hear me is if they have one too, there isn't even the option to hear chat through the TV like on most games, so, I will stand by my request Add a Chat Bar! R* should take a look at how Metal Gear Online is setup, selectable lobbies, game filters, chat bars, it's an excellent online experience, should be a benchmark on which other PS3 titles aspire towards. Stopher630
put a kick on them, soon people will follow /2nd . Nothign rally's a group together than "Lets kick this AFK F*&$er" You should be able to select some rules you want before you go blindly joining multiplayer games. i.e. auto aim vs. non-auto aim. I'm sick of playing with training wheels kiddies, lets get some big boy guns, take off the auto aim, and play a M rated game!
