Cracked Neon Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 Well, I'm sure some of it will come with the DLC in August, and I think it's been stated before that Rockstar had to choose between filling IV with useless rubbish (a la San Andreas) and stuff mentioned above or implementing the Euphoria engine etc. (which was apparently very difficult to do) whilst IV was in development. I expect GTA V (or whatever it will be called) will also build on IV's framework, as they did have to cut back on stuff, but for all the right reasons. They might not have worked well when they were opened, and instead of slaving over a small feature that alot of people might not use, they just took it out. I believe there was something similar with deer in San Andreas, you were able to hunt them or something, but the AI was buggy, or animal activist would get on em, I remeber reading somewhere deer textures were in the files of the game. I think the previews were talking sh*t if they said they rode it, maybe they said they "went on it" in a sneaky way of saying they just ran along it. Anyway, I think it's cool. It's a whole area that doesn't even do anything, isn't integral to the storyline, has no real use... yet is full of detail. The fact that Rockstar would cram so much incredible effort into an area that's not even essential to visit is a testament to how much love went into the creation of Liberty City.
