Rockstar just don't snap their fingers and have their own engine, game, resources, etc. just there you know? GTA IV is the groundwork. They can only do so much. If you don't like it, f*ck off already.

G twenty-nine
GTA: SA wasn't even the best in that subseries (and I am hoping many agree with me), it's probably that it was the first one you played. Trust me, if you had started with GTA 3-, you'd be a lot happier with the game. Oh, and I care more about the voice acting than some challenging mission. Just would like to see a combination in the next game.

So like why couldn't they put more missions on gta iv Because GTA SA used what was already made for GTA3 and VC. It was built onto the 3 series of the games. GTA IV is the new generation, and is built from scratch. The next GTAs in the IV generation will be using the ground work, so will be sort of comparable to VC and SA in a way. Oh, and f*ck you. Metalhead4
Even after the main story, it is COMPLETELY replayable and I will be replaying it taking all the opposite choices from what I did the first time. Don't forget there are all the police missions from the computer and all the little side missions from all your friends. Even then, there is hours upon hours to be enjoyed in multiplayer. StanMarsh
Most of the missions in GTA:SA aren't even on par with yopur average GTA IV mission, and "Three Leaf Clover" is better than any mission in SA by a mile or two. As for SA being harder, the only way I can imagine any of those missions being hard is when the play mechanics sucked. I mean, the week of GTAIV's release I started a game of SA on Friday night and beat it on Monday morning, and tht was with no cheats. As for the subseries: I think it goes GTAIII>VC>SA

Exactly what I was going to say. SA had the advantage of the GTA III engine, and it allowed R* to add more stuff. GTA IV was built from the ground up. Maybe just maybe, they ran out of time?
