claritysam Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 First of all, let me just say that I absolutely love this game, I went and got it at midnite on the release date and put 25 hours in over the next two days. When I was away from my X-box I spent my time exchanging text messages with my friends about it, sharing secrets and tips and what-not, and I was fully looking forward to not having to buy any more games for the forseeable future. Then I got to a point where there were no more missions available. I'm sure a lot of you have been reading about this problem in the forums and many of you have weighed in with helpful suggestions, but for me at least, NOTHING works. I have the right suit, the right shoes, I've done a load of side-missions, I've called everyone and nothing. It's just stuck. At first I found it hard to believe that a game that has been in development for so long, made by such a taleneted dev team could be so bugged, but with each passing day that I can't find a solution to my problem, with every new topic on the forums by someone in the same boat as me, I found myself feeling that I have MASSIVELY overestimated Rockstars abilities. If I want to finish this game, I'm gonna have to start all over again, and I don't know if I could stand the frustration if the same thing happened again. I just wanted to post this here as a warning to others - Use multiple save files, turn your autosave off and hope like hell you're one of the lucky ones. Irrati0nal Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 Um....when you finish the story line missions, it's the end of the storyline get it? so just go on a rampage, explore the city and finish the side quests,now you'll have to wait for the downloadable content. dlx Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 that sucks dude... the save system is kinda buggy with me too... sometimes it doesn't save everything it seems, and when I get back to my game I get the same calls I had the last time. Meadsy4742 Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 I don't understand you one bit - if you have finished the missions - what are you expecting? R* to release DLC right this minute for you? Finish all the side missions, hidden packages, races, just everything - I blame you for pushing too hard to finish the game. Plus I agree with you to an extent about the bugginess of the game - but I have come to the conclusion that we are playing on THE very first model of GTA, things can only get better with future updates and whatnot that I can guarantee R* are working overtime to release. As for the game - it is possible I suppose to take a storyline route that erroniously lands you in limbo where you can't go any further, a big problem with not-quite-RPG games. claritysam Posted May 4, 2008 Author Share Posted May 4, 2008 perhaps I should have explained myself more clearly. I haven't "finished the storyline", ITS JUST STUCK!!! I've only just unlocked Algonquin and the icon won't appear for the Final Interview mission, no matter what I do. I know this has already been discussed on these forums, but I just wanted to put up a clear warning to others so hopefully a few can avoid it. OK? grimroxster Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 If you are talking about the final interview, i was having problems too. You said you had a suit and everything right?
