Quite reminiscent of the old PGC weekly paper which was pretty successful. I think they got up to over 100 versions.

I'd be willing to contribute to the Sports Discussion section in a few weeks after my classes end.

It’s a great idea I just wonder whether having articles for every section is worth it? There would be a hell of a lot to read, maybe just assigning people to make articles from active or most recent areas would be best to keep the magazine at a respectable reading level.

I try to keep up-to-date with all the goings-on with the gaming world as much as possible, and I know him fairly well, so we wouldn't make bad partners.

I realise a lot of people are requesting, and I'm taking away the limit of writers from each section; you've all been added, so thank you.

 

For those of you that don't know, the writers from each section write an article on the important events/topics that occured in that area. They send it to one of the editors (not the Chief Editor). The editors check for spelling mistakes, etc. and then send it (via PM) to me. Once I check over everything and make sure it's proper, I sned it to the Formatting guy, who fixes it into Publisher.

 

Whoever wants to be Formatter needs to be good with Publisher, and needs to make it look sexy.

 

EDIT: @tuareg: I'm not really Hungarian (I'm actually Serbian), I just put your flag on and also put your name in Magyar as my member title. I have no idea what you said.

Agreed. Some areas are going to be quiet as hell in comparison to others. Most of the activity is with IV...what the hell is there to write about GTAIII still?

Well, I've decided to add the Multiplayer/Gangs section, with Zak. and Medaphoar as our current writers.

I'd advise not having a position for editing discussion, not much goes on in there. All the news worthy stuff is in Mod Showroom, which if the position is open. I'd like to give it a try.

Yeah, that's true, however we could still have a paragraph on it or whatnot. Doesn't really matter, could be still an interesting read, doesn't really need its own page I'd suppose.

 

Stefan, could you be a bit more detailed on how we should present our article, for instance outline the main points you wanted within them? Because for certain people, they might be overwhelmed with the amount of things to write, but others might have no idea what to write about.

@Torcidas: Basically, here is what I'm looking for in an article.

 

• Correct spelling and grammar.

• A summary of the key topics that were active in that forum, and key events.

• Funny quotes of the month.

• Notable contribution of the month.

• Member of the month.

 

@deathdealer: Our July issue should be out around the 10th of July, which reviews June.

 

EDIT: Does anyone know anyone who's good at formatting? If so, we need one, as it's one of our most important positions. Whoever it is must be good at using Publisher.

@flicko: Well, you can only do one part; it's either SD or VC. However, people can always switch and change positions when they like.

Two questions. First, is this going to be a topic or a downloaded file? And second, can I just write on a specific or general topic? Something relating to games but not necessarily the gaming chat forum; you know, something along the lines of an editorial.

@The-King: Alright then, an editorial in your case is OK. Secondly, I'm thinking of making a new topic everytime a new issue comes out, with the file available as a download, if that's at all possible.

 

@flicko: Yep, sure. There are always positions available.

 

@chris cambo: Great that we've got stoner support. Welcome aboard.

 

Also, if not all positions are filled by the 10th of June, then we'll start writing our first issue with only the sections which have been filled in. For example, if noone goes for the III job until then, we'll simply leave it out for that particular issue.
