The GTA Forums Times: A Monthly Newsletter

 

 

Yep, this is it people. I'm planning to start a GTA Forums newsletter, to be published every month, starting (we hope) for our first issue for July of this year. Basically, this topic is for recruiting any people who wish to take part in this newsletter, and also to archive every future newsletter. Seperate topics will be made for each edition. Basically, there are different categories (or departments) in which one or more person(s) belong to. Here are the categories:

There is also a column on the front page which is writte by all the editors, and which summaries the whole issue and, in general, the whole month on the Forum. Our information will be derived from the various departments around the Forums. Each column will be about a 100-200 words in general, although, depending on traffic, this can definitely increase. There will also be advertisements for various popular topics around the Forums.

 

 

Also, each writer is allowed one position. If need be, people can wish to be 'resigned' from their position, due to busy events in that person's schedules, and recruitment/applications are always welcome.

 

 

In each issue, there will be categories in which all the writers and editors vote for. Categories include 'Member of the Month', 'Topic of the Month' and 'Moments of the Month'. In each issue, there will also be a poll, in which results are sent to me or any other writers via PM.

 

 

If you want to be a writer, drop in here and let me know, and I'll put you in a roster. The newsletter will most likely be in Publisher, with a link provided in each individual topic, although sometimes it might be in Word.

 

 

Basically, what I want in an article is:

 

• Correct spelling and grammar.

• A summary of the key topics that were active in that forum, and key events.

• Funny quotes of the month.

• Notable contribution of the month.

• Member of the month.

 

This should be in each article.

Hopefully, this will work. If we all put in the effort, and if we all try, we will be successful, no matter what anyone thinks. We here here to provide a summary of each of the sections of GTA Forums, because not everyone goes to every part of the Forum, and because not everyone is on all the time. Please consider this.

@flicko: Well, you can only do one part; it's either SD or VC. However, people can always switch and change positions when they like.

 

@mark-2007: We summarise the important topics and events in different parts of the Forums, so if people are away/not active in that Forum, they can keep up with everything that's happening, and it'll all be right here.

 

@[CTD]LaBan: What requirements? You'll need to be very active in there, and if you can take notes. Also, basically you just send the article to me and to the layout man.
